How far do you want to complete your game?

The game is probably "complete" when you finish all the Nook Miles achievements, get all the trophies, and fill the museum. When the game came out I was very focused on filling my critterdex, but the amount of effort it takes to get the rare fish is astronomical so I gave up lol

I don't give collecting fossils and completing my museum much thought. I want to complete my catalogue, decorate my entire island and house. I might get bored and catch all the fish and bugs.

complete would be a finished museum, complete catalogue, all DIYs, all stamps, and a finished town. however, i'm only likely to do the museum, DIYs and, maybe, finished town. i've made good headway on the catalogue, but the island locked color variations are going to make it impossible for me, and there's too much RNG involved. i've similarly made good progress on the stamps, and could feasibly get them all, but some of them are ridiculously hard so it depends.

I'd like to complete basically everything. Museum, fish, bugs, sea creatures, etc. I'm not really concerned about the NM achievements right now.

Complete for me will be museum complete (just fossils complete for me so far), catalog complete, all DIY collected, Nook miles complete, and my island organized the way I want it. There are so many villagers though, that I want to keep playing to see more of them and collect as many photos as I can, while realizing I will likely lose interest before I get them all.

If its something that would interest you, I know losermom has a catalogue island with all the orderable items. It cost me 350 tbt and I see you have over 1000

Does take a good few hours to pick up and put down all that stuff though! Haha

I first want to complete the look of my island and my houses. Once I am done with that I’ll work on my museum ( I have completed the fossils and a good portion of the others).

My catalog is pretty much almost complete. I need to get some of the newer seasonal items and it’s 100% complete. This was something I wanted to complete early on since I need to be able to access all items to be able to customize my island.

Once all that is finished I can just relax and stop time traveling, just enjoy my villagers and completing the museum and nook miles. I probably won’t complete the nook miles 100% though. There’s certain things I was looking that at that I refuse to do. I won’t fully upgrade my homes. I don’t need that last room, because of this, I also won’t be able to get the one where I need to place 150 items inside my home.

i would like to complete the museum and all of the achievements but i dont have an interest in obtaining every item for my catalogue, just the things i want to use. im not going to finish these things for a while though probably

At this point, I've completed my museum and have one more reaction to collect. I'd like to achieve all the Nook Miles goals, but some of them are too difficult for me given my play style. I don't really have a specific goal. I just want to be satisfied with my town and enjoy the ride.

i restarted my game at the beginning of this year, and i'd like to not rush anything this time. i'm going to complete my museum at my own speed, but i like playing dilligently. i'd like to also complete my catalogue and get my diys — for some reason, i feel like thats one of the more fun parts. i really like collecting stuff!

i'm especially going to take my time terraforming my island, because thats the exact reason why i felt compelled restarting in the first place.

I've never actually completed a museum and I probably won't in ACNH either lol, I'm never a completionist and I like to do whatever in video games.

I tried collecting all 900 korok seeds in BotW but I got bored fast and it's just not fun after a while. I'm just not the 100% kind of guy

Man I tried to get like 999 moons in Mario Odyssey and I realized that it got boring fast just finding all those Moons. I do relate since I don't usually complete most games 100% except for that time I fully completed Super Mario World.

I actually managed to get all moons and coins in Mario Odyssey lol, I guess I found that one fun

I dont really care much about having the whole catalog and diys so for me it would be to complete my island, the museum and certain nook stamps. In new leaf i was also selective about which badges i wanted to try going for, some of them i was not that interested in going after.

I would love to complete the museum and all of my Nook Miles achievements; I think those two are realistically achievable.

I'd like to complete the catalogue one day, and collect all the DIY recipes. I'd imagine that would take me much longer.

As for a much bigger, long-term goal, I'd like to have had every villager in the game live on my island at some point, and receive all of their photos (I don't have a resident move out until they've given me their pic). However I don't TT, so I'm aware this goal would mean I'd have to be playing the game for years and years to come, so we'll see!

I want to complete the entire museum and, while not 100% necessary, I think I'd probably like to complete the catalog of items too just because I've been whittling away at it by buying stuff from my island's shops and from people's shops here on the forums and it seems reasonably doable. I also want all of my player character houses to be fully upgraded and paid off; I currently have that accomplished, but I'm going to be deleting one of the current characters so I can make a new one in their place, so I'll have to pay off that new one.

I don't really care about getting all of the Nook Miles achievements. It's fun to do because you can get titles from it, and I'll get what I can, but I'm not going to make it a goal. If it happens it happens and that's cool, if it doesn't, whatever.

I only care about completing my museum and getting all the golden tool recipes. I’m not actively trying to get nook mile achievements. If I tried to grind for those I’d burn myself out completely.
