How long did it take you to reset for a perfectly aligned RS and airport?

I’m resetting for a second island and would like them to be perfectly lined up on this one - been resetting for about 2 hours and haven’t seen one yet with them perfectly lined up, let alone with a yellow airport! Curious as if to whether I’m just having bad luck or if it tends to make forever! Please and thanks for any help!
 
It took me 73 resets to find the right map for my second island. I wasn't looking for a centered RS, but I had other specific things I was resetting for. It was a year ago so I don't remember exactly how long it took, but it was at least several hours. I think I also spread it out over 2 days because I lost patience and gave up the first day

I tried for a good couple hours before I got one I could make a good path too. I was also looking for a yellow airport, cherries, and a few other little details, so I think it could've taken a lot longer! It's not perfect, but I like it. c:
 
oh wow i had no idea this could be a thing i just sorta went with what i thought looked best at the time
also whats a yellow airport?
 
It took me days or weeks I don’t even remember. It wasn’t the only thing I was doing tho so maybe a few hours each day or something. But I wanted peaches and a green airport as well so that’s why I had to reset a lot for it. I also wanted huge rocks and a long dock so that’s why I spent so much time. The map with a completely aligned airport and RS and proper distance between both is very rare.
 
it took me like 12 hours in total... 😭 i was initially also looking for one with a yellow airport and a specific peninsula shape, but i gave up on those two criteria because i couldn't stand the idea of prolonging my search.

all in all it just comes down to luck; i hope you find what you're looking for soon!
 
I wasn't looking for any specific island, so I was never going to reset from what I was originally given, but I did somehow end up with my Residental Services building being completely centered with my airport with the island I did pick from the 4 I was presented with at the beginning of the game. Wasn't looking for a specific airport color either, but I did end up with the yellow one. So it's all just a matter of luck, I suppose.
 
I would never even try. The beginning dialogue screens are soooo tedious that I gave up after 3 resets trying to get my preferred native fruit.
 
I wanted cherries and a yellow airport, first try I got cherries and a yellow airport. I got lucky I guess, but I seen people go for +100 resets, hope you find it soon.
 
For the map I wanted, it took me 2 hours.
But I go every single thing I wanted.
RS location (close enough to where I wanted it, found out yesterday there are set positions RS can be in so I literally could not have gotten better), airport colour, native fruit, pier size and location, peninsula, secret beach, all but 1 beach rock is as I wanted it, but it's close enough.

So yeah, took me 2 hours to get my dream map.
 
I stuck with the first island I got: cherries, mums, and an orange airport. The resident services building is close enough to the airport, and there's a nice center island encircled by the two rivers that join together. :D
 
I managed to find a Web page that had every map design you could get, looked through them all to find one I liked then spent I think it was maybe 4 or 5 hours trying to get it
 
It took me 2 days for the map I wanted(specifically, it’s the one with the heart shape pong and the RS almost aligned with the airport. I also wanted the long dock, a blue or orange airport and I wanted the secret beach to be far left and the peninsula on the top right corner of the map. On top of that I wanted peaches as native fruit and deep down I wished for decent starting villagers. It was my first time resetting and because I was saying goodbye to the island I had since the game was launched I wanted something perfect. Needless to say that after many hours I had to make some compromises. I found my almost perfect map, it simply has a shot dock and apple as native fruit and I can definitely live with that. It was better not to test the RNG any further 😂
