How long should I wait?

I wasn't sure what where to put this question since it's more of a communication issue than about the game. So forgive me if I got it wrong. About three weeks ago I answered to someone psot about something that was on their wishlist and they said they wanted the items and I was like ok let me know when you want to trade. Now I've been holding the items and I've messaged them and sent vistor message letting them know if they still wanted it etc. They never responded to any of my messages...hmm not sure why? and I've seen them posting on the board. But I'm not sure what to do. I still have the items in my locker but I going to be deleting this digital copy soon when I buy the physical one. I just wanted to know how long should you wait for a response until it's ok to void (if that's the right word) even if they ask for it after and how long do you usually wait. If anyone can answer I would appreciate. Thanks.

Screw them. They're ignoring you. Why would you still keep their stuff? I wait about a day then it's their loss.

I think if the person has been on and they been flat out ignoring you. They obviously don't want the stuff so I would give it away, or sell it or whatever you want to do with it. Thats my take on it. I've dealt with people who will flat out ignore you when you hold stuff for them for years. On facebook games like farmville, happy pets, on pokemon and animal crossing. In fact im still holding peoples animals in happy pets and its been 5 years! I think I should take my own advice and start giving them away. <<

This is the worst, I feel your pain. You try to be nice and then the person doesn't even care. It's happened to me so many times, I've gotten to the point where I just expect that if a trade doesn't happen right away, it's a 90% chance that it never will. Even if you're not trading, and you're just giving someone items they want/asked for...even if it's for free. People are fickle.

I don't think you need to hold on to it any longer. You did your nice deed. Their loss.

Anyway. To the maker of this thread... if its been over 3 weeks, just void or give away the items...
-Just saying- If something is lost, and you hand it in to the police, within about a week, without responce you get to keep the items... same thing should apply to a game (minus the police part)

I opened a free signature shop and rarely anyone said thank you or responded to my messages about their prototype signature, so I closed up the shop. I got ignored too and just said f it. You should too
