How many DIY’s do you still need?

I’m curious to see how many people are still trying for the DIY’s. Has anyone gotten all of them? Do you plan on trying to get them all? Do you know how many you still need or don’t really care anymore. I knew I still need a bit but thought the number I still needed was under 100. Nope I still need 133 more recipes. Most of them are food DIYS. Do you mostly trade for them or try and get them yourself? What kind of DIY’s are you still missing?

Yea there are so many. I had to go and look them up to see how many I still needed. From the site I looked at there are 922. That’s awesome if you have them all. I hope to one day get them all. Will most likely start trading to get them.

I'm only missing the cooking recipes you get from catching a salmon(I could be wrong)
I got a ton of the DIYs myself and traded for the rest

Yea I’m definitely missing the salmon ones. I need to remember to go to the resort to try for more of the cooking recipes. I keep forgetting you can get some there.

I only need 6 more DIYs to have them all. Only 1 of them is a regular 2.0 DIY (Pile of Cash), the rest are seasonal 2.0 DIYs (the 4 salmon DIYs and the Spooky cookies DIY). I have done a mix of trading for them, going on other people's islands when their villager is crafting a DIY I need, and trying to get them myself. I want to say I got the majority of them myself, but it's been over 2 years so who really knows at this point, lol

If only this game would've had like a "progress section" where you can see "grayed out" DIYS that you're still missing. I choose "Don't know" because even though I've been playing this game for quite a while I don't know much DIYS I'm missing.

I did trading in the beginning but got most myself. I still need some from before the 2.0 update. Might try and get those from trading since most of those are the flower wreaths and crowns. I don’t mind not having all the 2.0 ones since I took a bit of a break. I missed some of the new seasonal ones and debating if I should go back for them.

That is a great idea and would he so helpful. I had no idea until I did a checklist to see which ones I was missing.

I have all the others. They were obtained from island hopping to visit villagers in their homes, giveaways, a handful of trades, and, for the last ten or so, a giveaway here. Whenever I get duplicates, I try them with one of my other two villagers. Otherwise, they go to Nook's (or I'll give them away for free, but only if I know someone actively looking for it).

I have traded/bought diys before but I'm feeling a bit lazy and just trying to see if I get a new one each day.

I don’t keep track of my DIYs so I don’t know for sure. I’m most likely only missing some of the 2.0 DIYs and maybe some Celeste ones that I forgot to get during those months when I go on hiatus.

Pretty sure I have them all. I think I traded for most of the seasonal ones. For the cooking ones that I could only get by catching certain fish, I either got them from island tours or by visiting my southern hemisphere island.

i’m currently only missing 21 diys/recipes — 3 seasonal, 4 fish, and 14 regular. i’m a completionist and a collector, so obtaining every diy/recipe is definitely a goal of mine and something that i’m working towards. it’s, uh, a very slow process, though lol. i wanted to try and obtain every new 2.0 diy/recipe myself, but with how bad my luck is (i keep getting duplicates, and to make that even worse, i keep getting duplicates of the same diys/recipes over and over — i have a surplus of extra stone table diys, french fries and coconut pancakes recipes, etc), i’ve given up on that and have started trading for what i still need. though, to try and keep some of the difficulty and sense of accomplishment, i’ve made it a rule that i’m only allowed to trade for what i still need — no buying outright, no giveaways. trades only.

I find the flower crowns and wreaths to be the hardest to find. Will most likely end up trading for the ones I still need. I got lazy the first few months of the year with trying to find them. Taking a break didn’t help.

I didn’t keep track of them until recently. I decided I really wanted to find them all at least for my island rep on my main island. There were a few I didn’t even realize I didn’t have like the basement flooring.

I might trade for some of the seasonal ones I missed. Since I took a break I missed the new Cherry blossom one and some bamboo. It might be easier to trade for those then go back for them. I keep forgetting I can get cooking ones on the resort.

Yea I really want to get all the recipes for at least my island rep. It really is a slow process. I was working on it more then took a bit of a break but wanting all the DIY’s is one reason I came back to playing every day. Yea I keep getting a bunch of duplicates as well. My villagers have been cooking more often but they are usually duplicates. I had been selling all my duplicates but I think now I might start saving them again and start using them to trade with.

I know that I am missing quiet a few of the first update ones and the newer 2.0 ones but for now I am so close to having all of the recipe ones. So I plan to focus and get all of them first

I’m missing more of the newer ones then older. Most of the older ones are flower wreaths and crowns. I think I will focus on those . Maybe even trade for them.

I had tried to get all of the older ones before the update came out. My villagers just wouldn’t craft the flower ones. Might have to trade for those. Before I looked them up I didn’t realize just how many were added especially cooking ones.

I just counted and i need 61 or a few more considering nookazon for some reason doesn't count all food recipes as DIYs. i'm going to try to get the rest soon probably because i want to finish my collection

Wow over 900 DIYS?! Thats a lot when I went to that site.
