How many of you are actually parents who play AC?

Im curious to know how many people here are actually a mom or dad who spend too many hours playing AC when we should be sleeping 😂.
I'm a mom of 2 and have actually had to purchase a separate switch so my son and I can play at the same time lol.
I've been playing AC since it first came out on the cube .
Am I alone in this ?!

I'm not a parent, but my mom and I used to play the gamecube version together all of the time.

However, she can't see small devices very well, so Wild or and New leaf where unplayable for her and City folk we just never got into.

Now we play new horizons together and it's quite nice. Even if I don't decorate the island as much as I want to (thinking of her).

👋 Hey! You are definitely not alone. I am a parent and I bought my son animal crossing as it seemed a nice game for a child. He got hooked and I always tried to play games with him. We played together which is something that gave us a bond.

He still plays a bit but now I am slightly addicted 😂

I’m not a parent, but you’re definitely not alone. I know a lot of parents who play. If I recall, the villager Audie was named after an elderly woman who played Animal Crossing. The story may be uploaded on YouTube.

I started playing the game while on maternity leave, and I am playing like crazy, though my 1.5 year old is not allowed to watch or play video games yet. She does get a peak every so often though and between that and my custom plush she definitely can already recognize and name (and loves) Tabby, my favorite villager!

My husband and I are parents that play too! Our 2 year old loves the Dodos and when CJ takes pictures of you haha. We don't let him have screemtime, but he has snuck a couple minutes in here and there.

I'm a mom who plays ACNH. ACNL was my first AC game. My adult son suggested AC to me back in 2017 and I'm so glad he did. He's an avid gamer but knows my hands aren't what they used to be and that I can't play certain genres of video games any more. I've been playing video games since Pong was released. Yes, I'm old but according to my son's friends I'm "way cooler" than all of their parents.

I have obsessively played AC since the GameCube version, and I brought NL with me on my honeymoon (there are photos of Venice mixed in with screenshots on my 3DS), lol.
Fast forward to 2 kids later and I still play in the mornings before they wake up and then we start our day together. My son likes to see me get stung by wasps. 😬😭🙃

Before the switch was out I purchased the gamecube version again and dusted off my console. AC is the first game he learned how to play and I was so proud. It's our own special bond since his dad is not a gamer. He appreciates me paying off his house and cleaning up his town so no different than real life 😂

I don't understand how I've managed to log so many hours in between cleaning schoolwork and diaper changes 😂. But I like having something only me and him do together.

I've played Wild World and New Leaf and now I'm playing New Horizons. My son will be 28 this year. No, he doesn't play video games. He prefers chess. I'm the one reading manga, watching anime and playing games. 😆😅
😂 That's wonderful lol . I tried to get my mom to play but she refuses .

Hilarious 😆. Ive trained my kids to be in bed by 9. That's when mommy clocks out and then I'm up playing until I fall asleep on the couch 😸

I'm a parent! My son is a little under a year at this point, so he doesn't know the lovely world of videogames yet. I'm curious if he'll like Animal Crossing or not. If so, we can play together! If not, that means my hubby's switch can be that second island I've been planning on... 😜

But I've been playing since the GameCube too! My best friend's parents were as addicted to the game as my friend and I were, and after I introduced my mum to New Leaf, she ended up completing her encyclopedia's fish section before me!

I'm thinking of taking over my son's island lol. I used to live there and set up the island but switched over once I got my own switch.

Haha. I'm guessing he doesn't play anymore then? What would you do with his island? I'm really wanting to make a themed island on hubby's switch while keeping mine as more of my every day do whatever mess of an island I feel like thing.

My cousin actually plays Animal Crossing. She just turned 11 years old in June. She loved the game, but I’m not sure if she still plays. I introduced her to Animal Crossing though, so I hope that’s the case. 😬

He plays but he's only 6 so he really doesn't understand what to do with terraforming or care for design. He throws lakes and random cliffs anywhere. I'd use it to get the other villagers I want and can't fit on my island lol. He already has a few that I've quietly sheltered on his island when he's asleep 😂

My kid is useless at AC and only really showed an interest in stupid things like "running away from Mabel" and giving the villagers rude catchphrases and greetings haha. I might see if he'll let me do a new island for him on his switch

Haha! Already starting to transition, I see. 😆 I hope that goes well!
