How much are villagers worth?

Hi! I’m fairly new to the forums, I’ve only bought one villager (Drago) who the seller kindly offered for 350k IGB, which i thought was a great deal!
I thought that most villagers would be 5-10 NMTs but I’ve seen recently that some people are offering 200 NMTs! It seems a bit outrageous to me personally but I just wanted to know if that’s how it’s always been or if there’s suddenly been an increase on villager values. I know that some villagers are new or fan favourites so they’re worth more but 200? Seriously? Someone please help me out here Thank you!
If anyone has a good idea on what some specific villagers are usually worth then that’d be great! I’m currently full of villagers but I intend to buy Julian, Cookie, Julia, Lucky, Rudy, Mitzi and Lily. I was lucky enough to find Audie on my first ticket on the islands!

Depends, new villagers are 100 nmt - 250 nmt
unless it's raymond, if it's raymond sometimes the auction goes into the 500s and up, like way up

others typically go from 50-75
more unpopulars go from 5-25
ugly ones sometimes are 1 nmt- nothing

That’s crazy!! I’ve only ever had 20 at most at a time Yeah that makes sense, thank you!

I honestly feel like it depends on the seller. Prices range differently. Sometimes you'll see a villager sell for only 20 nmt and others wilk ask for 50 nmt. I'll use Judy as an example as she's new villager and has many different buyout prices. Sellers will ask for a 150 buyout, few minutes later someone also with Judy will ask for a 300 nmt buyout. Higher prices I always find them outrages but that's just on the seller.

I sold a villager today and checked to see what they were going for beforehand and I'd say that your figures are pretty accurate.This all reminds me of the early New Leaf days when villagers like Marshal and Julian were being sold for ridiculous amounts of in-game bells.There weren't any Amiibo cards yet and your choices were limited to spending tons of bells or doing a lot of cycling to get villagers.

It really depends on the villager. Raymond goes for prices ranging from 500 - 1500 NMT. Other villagers are worth quite a few NMT, but substantially less than that. Villagers are surprisingly easy to get for good prices on the Villager Trading Plaza if you look consistently, in part due to amiibos.
