How much do you tip or you think you SHOULD tip out of common courtesy?

Always wondered if anyone had a particular etiquette they stood by when tipping? I find it a bit hard to gauge tipping for giveaways, like 50k bells or something but that's not much really.

I always tip 10% of my overall profits though if I am selling premium perfect fruits or turnips though.

If I get more than a million bells from profit, I will tip 20%. It's always kind to tip others unless the host is like a multi-millionaire lol.

Haha reminds me one time, I made about 7mil in someone's town and tipped him 700k, his response was "Lol please." and told me to pick it back up. Later he screenshotted his bankroll of like 50m.

You people scare me. Seriously. I bug hunt and barely pay my mortgage upgrades every night.

What are you doing to get "multi" millions?

I made a few mil before even playing online, now it's just extrapolated. Um, perfect fruits are your best friends, and foreign fruits, go nuts planting them at first, enough to make a tidy 100k every few days, save that all, and go into the turnip market, it's the best way to gamble for big profit, even if you sell for only 300k more than you spent, it's a profit. And build up your cash flow like that. I only upgrade my house once a week through turnips anywho, it helps if you have friends on Animal Crossing big time too, foreign towns are the best thing and easiest way to make money. Bugs and fish is a the slow way of building cash empire.

Roger that.
And when i do tip, it's usually newer people than me letting me raid their town for fruits, i'll leave a basket of my fruit and like 1 or 2 more fruits they're missing. :)
Not nearly that grand.

Interesting. How much do you usually spend buying turnips? I've only tried buying turnips once and they went bad on me before I could sell them. lol

1m every week on turnips, usually thats about 2 thirds of a locker full, I always make sure i have bought at least 12,000 turnips anyways. You have to be quite religious in checking the prices especially before 12pm and after, majority of the time, my big spikes have been from 9am-12pm which was suckish once as i checked it at 11:58am and didn't even have time to sell (500+ was the offered :[ ) But yeah, turnip market is the fastest way to make money in game, obviously much easier to make money through here as DLC items seem to be worth a lot to some folks.

Oh wow thanks for the info! I never knew the turnip prices change throughout the day. I'll try my luck this weekend and get some and see how it goes! :)

I usually drop a 99k bag for each trip I make, especially if I have a locker-full. I've always wondered if that was enough, or if I should have tipped more.

10% of turnip profits, more if I took an especially long time.

I also tend to tip in hybrid flowers when conducting other business, such as when people offer to let me catalog various series of furniture. Also did when someone gave me my dream villager.

I never tipped when I started, in England its not really a big thing to tip.. Although, I do now leave 2 bags on 99k
