I'm just curious to know how often you change your clothes in this game. When I put together an outfit I really really like on my character I never want to change and it gets to the point where my villagers will even comment on it haha. So I'd like to know, how often do you change your clothes? Do you change every day like you would in real life? Do you change depending on the season and or weather? Or do you just stick with one signature look I'd love to know.
id say a few days to weekly, i like to stick to one outfit for a little while as it’s too much work for me to change into something new everyday, after i get bored of the outfit i switch it up to something new and different and so on and so forth
Every day - I don't like getting bored with my outfit so I pick an entirely new one each day. I never know what I'm getting either until I get it from the shop.
Maybe weekly? I like to change my clothes often into terrifying antics for friends and the beautiful people on this forum. Some days I can be normal though.
When I played WW and NL, I'd find an outfit I liked and never changed out of it. In NH though, everything looks so much better. Besides, I'm way older now than I was when I played the previous games, and because I'm not aging gracefully, I want to do everything that allows me to not act my age. (If not for my son's disapproving look when I suggested it, I'd have gotten a massive dragon tatttoo on my back! ) I want to do frivolous things. Taking the time to change my outfit every day in NH, even though it's totally unnecessary, satisfies that itch a little.
I voted for every day but it does actually vary quite a lot. When I’m playing the game through each day (rather then TTing) then I’ll try and change my clothes once I first start the game up on the day, over the months I’ve collected a lot of clothes so I like changing my outfit to get to use them and making the outfit match the season and weather for that day. I do have my favourites though so on a few occasions it’s not a full outfit change but just a change of top that I like to another colour.
When I’m TTing, which I’ve been doing recently to try and move out a villager, then I won’t change my outfit on each new game day unless I’m planning on spending some time on that day, usually though I just load up the day to check if the right villager wants to leave and then change day so I just stick the same outfit to save time.
I tend to change all of my characters' clothes daily. There are definitely outfits I like for each of them in particular, but I just feel like switching it up. Sometimes, though, I'll just speed through a day because it's a boring day, the shops don't have anything interesting to add to the catalogue, etc. and I'll just get everyone's daily 300 Nook Miles and switch to the next day. In those instances, I don't really bother changing the clothes.
I have zero artistic talent but I managed to make a pretty decent king outfit that matches the colors of the royal crown and I've been rocking that ever since the royal crown was up for sale and I see no reason to change from that, honestly. It just works XD
