I’ve had the game since launch, and I consistently played everyday for the first 7 months. After that, I played a few days out of the week. Now I only play maybe a handful of times a month. I think the game doesn’t have a lot of things that make you want to continue playing after you finish everything you set out to do. I already have 720 in the game, but sometimes I wonder how much more I would play if everything the devs, and the players, want in the game was actually here.

I was actually under the impression that the updates would be more frequent too, but I guess that’s a separate topic. I guess I’m just feeling like this is where my lack of drive to play is coming from. Because despite any of that, I do still love this game.

I haven’t played in quite some time, honestly. I still love Animal Crossing as a whole, but the game has gotten pretty stale. I pick up the game every once in a while, but it’s not nearly as much as I used to. I think little things like repetitive dialogue and nothing new being added can make the game boring. If the villagers had just a little more to say and if there were more furniture sets, I think that’d help bring some attention back to the game. New Horizons was a great game, but I think the crafting and terraforming aspect makes it seem too much like Minecraft, and not enough like the game we grew to love.

i’ve had the game since launch and played consistently up until around june of last year, and my playtime has been up and down ever since lol. i go through stages where i play every day for a while, but then i get burnt out or depressive and stop playing for days/weeks at a time. 😅

I've had New Horizons since it came out on March 20th of last year and I have been playing it daily ever since, with my playtime currently sitting at 1550+ hours. It basically consumed my life for the first few months it was out, but I've gradually slowed down and nowadays only play it for 15 minutes or so daily (mainly just to check for the NPC + chat with my villagers). I think the two big things for me that's allowed me to keep playing it daily is that I haven't TTed at all, and I've been working towards 100%ing the game. The former means the latter hasn't been able to have been done sooner, which means I have a reason to keep playing, since I'm still months away from getting all the items and getting the final achievement I'm missing.

I haven't played since mid-March of this year, and was barely playing in the months up to that. The run from the week after launch through early-mid August included many periods of long or frequent play time though, as well as the first week or so after the Halloween update released. I ended up taking a 2 month break from the game after that point though.

I still play the game daily. Haven't skipped a day since the release day. Although I only do bursts of 15-20 minutes a day to check the mail, visitors, Ables, and gift villagers that I still haven't gotten a photo of.

Also, the day just feels incomplete when I haven't played it. I will only probably stop once Nintendo has stopped supporting the game (no more updates).

I haven't played the game in maybe 2 months, because i really want to see more gameplay being added. That being said i do wonder wheter or not i should start playing again, because i kinda miss my villlagers.

NH is the first AC game that I've played every day for a year since launch, though I chalk that up to being an adult with more free time and the pandemic more than I do to the actual game itself.

I play a couple of times a week now, mostly Sundays for this month as that's the only time something is happening. September was a very dry month last year so unless there are any major game changers, I don't see myself picking up the game much then.

I'm still a newbie to ACNH so I've pretty much been playing it non stop since January this year, but I do go through phases of either loving the game and getting bored with it. Currently I'm on a creative streak and loving the overall layout of my island and now that we're inching towards Autumn I can't wait for Halloween, Turkey Day and Toy Day.

I've had the game since launch.
When it first came out I played daily for hours on end.
Around September time my play time took a hit as I started doing other stuff.
Still went on near daily though. Just for shorter bursts.

Around December my playtime took back off.
For the last 8 months I've been playing almost every single day. My sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 10 hours.

The game is drowning in stuff for you to get on with. You just have to decide you want to do it. Its just the way of a sandbox game.

originally, I did assume I would get bored, or ‘finish’ the game, but it has just never happened for me.

I just look forward to playing everyday (for I think at least an hour, usually more, and I have played about 2060 hours since last may). When I am playing, I get sucked in and end up spending most of my time just wandering my island, tidying up shells, digging up fossils and talking to my villagers, and I forget to even do more ‘exciting’ things (which I why I have never become a good time traveler, despite often intending to time travel)

I’m still working on my art museum, and some of the nook miles goals, but I’m not really in a hurry to do those things.

I don’t think there is some magic secret to wanting to play the game more. I think different people are ‘done’ at different times, and there’s no real right or wrong to that.
Otherwise, I think, though you may feel sad, there is nothing wrong with being mostly done with the game. 720 is a lot of hours, and perhaps you have simply gotten the enjoyment that was there for you from the game, and now you will continue to play a few times a month or whenever you feel moved to do so. And that is fine. And of course being mostly done with the game doesn’t mean you love it less!

I see a lot of posts like this, with people feeling like they are doing something wrong or missing something if they don’t like playing the game for as long as other people. But i think there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy it, everyone is looking for different things, and everyone will be ‘done’ at different times

i just got back into it from a huge break, and feeling myself bored of it again sadly.

maybe not bored, just busy again ? hopefully i can find some good downtime, i really wish to work on my island. i think this week is my last. school is starting and i just got accepted to volunteer at a shelter

no finished island for me

since about August of last year I've only been playing like once every 3-4 months lol. it's unfortunately lost my interest (whereas the OG and NL continue to be interesting to this day). I only got on the game a few days ago to participate in a Camp Bell Tree event and then I was done.

Every day. I'm not playing long hours anymore, but I'm finding at least 1 thing to do per day right now. Until September, there are no more bugs/fish to catch for my museum on my second island.

I try to check in for at least 15 mins to check the shops/mail etc daily, though I think I did miss a couple of days. Redesigning the island recently made me play it more. I'm anxiously waiting to decorate for Autumn now haha

I will play it daily for a few weeks then drop it for 1-2 months then repeat. I just wish it had something more to strive for outside of subjective designing, like New Leaf had.

I've had NH since Day 1 and I haven't played in months. The last time was the last update to get all the new food items, and before that, I don't remember. I've done most of what I wanted to do. Unless they give us something new and exciting, I do not see much reason to go on daily much anymore.

I have had the game since launch. I usually still play everyday. My playtime has dropped by a lot mostly because I am busy. I have missed a few days. Usually I play around 30 minutes to an hour. It’s usually to see who the NPC is and give gifts to villagers. Sometimes if I have some more time I will work on an area.
