welcome to my island progress <3

my island theme is swampcore, with some traditional japanese elements,
here are some photos that give the idea

i saw this thread last night and have been thinking on it, and the suggestions i have are:

- for the area in the middle south between the two houses, my idea was that since you have genji with a fitness theme and greta with an education theme, you could have both their houses in that space and have them combine for a school theme. like on genji's side have outdoor sports stuff (soccer goal/ball, rock wall, etc) and then on greta's side a little outdoor education zone, lockers/school chairs spanning between them to blend their themes.

- for the left of player's house up to the incline, my thought was that since you have 3 houses there and 3 nature-themed villagers, perhaps put pekoe, zucker, and drago up there and have a garden area leading up to those houses? i am trying to think of what an "abandoned city consumed by nature" type thing would look like... maybe like the rest of the city theme you have going on, but with more trees/shrubs/weeds.

- lastly... you can always fill in some space with a flower breeding area or an orchard. stick some barrels and the big grain silo in there and it can look pretty good!

the stuff you have planned currently sounds cool, i kinda wanna make a tide pool for my town too now. good luck (and no pressure to take any of my suggestions)!

oh my goodness, u are a miracle. greta and genji running a school sounds soooo amazing. a pe teacher and the principle hehe. i would loveee~ to do an overgrown area. since theres only three houses back there and a little space left, maybe a greenhouse or plant shop !! eeek im so excited. and yes !! try a tide pool !! i love marine creatures and plan to study in that field when im old enough. i didnt draw the right river mouth, but i have a very skinny river going along the right edge, then goes into a man made square pond where im going to have a bunch of crabs displayed. i use tons of stalls to display the sea creatures and outdoor benches, as if its like a touch pool or something lol. i would love to see what you come up with if you add it to your island !

aaa that sounds so cool, greta has a sweet but stern principle vibe for real. i hope after all this effort you'll post a DA somewhere ?!

& i'm so excited to try making a tide pool, i never thought to make one but the diving critters are my fav, so. i'll show you if i come up with anything good!

hello ! after a few months, im back to playing acnh. i switched up everything from before, and i am now tackling swampcore ! ill come here every now and then to share a couple pictures of something i completed. here is some stuff to get it started:

hehe thank yu ! swampcore isnt really all that popular, ive only see one or two islands based on a swamp. but its so so much fun, especially terraforming. i get a lot of inspo from pinterest and my own style c: ive been super busy cus of school (its such a mess) but ill keep updating this thread as i continue to work on my island again ^^

seems like every time i post on this forum it's because i'm alive after a huuuuge break. well BAM i'm alive & here is some progress

frs i really do hate disappearing for so long. some of my friends here know i was going through a pretty bad breakup. all is well, i'm better than ever thanks to some amazing people. i hope i'm well enough to engage in this community again <3

back with more progress !! i have a few things to talk about, so i'll start with something small

i came back during the 2.0 update so i just had to give zucker a cute lil wheat farm

i also designed a fishing lake / fishing hut

ive also made a shrine structure im pretty proud of -,-

I just started working on a Southern Gothic/Swampcore theme for my island the other day! I've noticed it's kinda difficult to get the actual swamp/water areas to look really.. well, uh, "swampy" lol

I hadn't heard of swampcore until now, but I love what your doing. I can see people who love frog villagers using this theme.

eeee thank u !! i might post up a picture of my map since the terraforming is pretty complicated ? to get the swamp vibe/look i use a lot of very skinny waterways. i'm also trying to find more custom designs to give me more of a swamp look.

gothic/swampcore sounds amazing, i would love to see it !
