that's what i did. i know that after you stop a villager from moving you are free too TT however far so. i tted with my mayor, then i used 3ds clock and new char a couple loads to see if anyone moved. i was forever at 10 no matter if i went a year, a month, etc. i checked back with my mayor file and while the time did change, the time lapse didn't seem to register for me. the villagers didn't forget me and no one was moving. i guess i'll just do my old method ^^;

I'm very sorry it didn't work for you, I'll keep trying to see if I can reproduce the problem and find a solution.

I just tried it, & its just not working for me... maybe I made a mistake?

Here's what I did:

I got someone to ping me to move, then I TT'd to their moveout date (they were in boxes), and I saved & quit.
Then I changed my 3DS clock forward to 4/6/15. I loaded with my mayor & the villager who had been in boxes was gone, and I immediately saved & quit.
I changed my 3DS clock forward to 4/6/16, loaded with a new save file, and no one new is gone.
Did I make a mistake somewhere?

I am scared to TT back to the present year, out of fear of losing a dreamie D:

Are you you at 8 villagers? If there is no plot and 8 villagers the game will not chose a mover. You would need a plot to show for the game to chose a mover. So that where it may take 2 loads if you are at 8 for a villager to be set to move. Also do not be afraid to go back. To go back do the new save file if everyone is there hit the home button to close then reload with you mayor, you wont lose anyone, just make sure they are there first

I have a question about this method. I've gotten the villager I wanted to move out. She's moving out soon. If I TT to the present year, will she still be moving? What if I TT to the day she'd be in boxes but in the current year? Thanks!

if you go back in time it count as a day, so the move date would change but the villager would still be moving and sorry for the late reply

My ds clock seems to have no sway on my in game clock, they've been different since the game started. Is this technique viable with the in game clock only?
