basically i try so hard to take care of my things , but eventually something will happen to my phone by accident , no matter what.

my latest phone i got it on october 2017 (was actually bought in july 2016 but it was mine back then) but i broke it last month because of my headphones...

what can i do to avoid my phone breaking or damaging? i know obvious things like dont leave it on borders on tables , but id like to know how to make more care of phones , because phones are not cheap.

Getting a good case and screen protector are usually the first things I look for when I get a phone. Sure, cute phone cases are nice, but usually really nice phone cases aren't the cutest.

I usually get a set of glass screen protectors for really cheap online, usually they come in sets of 2-5 and when they crack or scratch you can just peel them up and replace it with no damage to your screen!

It's also a good idea to routinely take off your case and clean your phone as a bunch of stuff can get under the case and in the ports, which you can get port plugs for when you're not using them but honestly I just clean my out periodically.

I've never broken a phone, or even significantly damaged one, the most I've ever had was a scratch on my screen and that was from a toddler taking it and dropping it when I was waiting on a new screen protector in the mail. T_T

If you're really accident prone, you might consider getting a lanyard holder for your phone, that's what my friend did after losing or dropping her phone SEVERAL times and ever since she's not had a problem.

Like Kaydee said, get a sturdy phone case and a screen protector as soon as you buy a phone. It's fundamental that you do such things because the warranty doesn't cover everything lmao.

yeah, get one of those phone wallets that cover the whole thing, not just a shell/case. protects against most things, and yeah i've dropped mine a few things and i have a sturdy wallet for it, and it's not broke yet so..

I got a Samsung S7 back in November of 2016 and the only damage to it is a line crack across the back of it that happened like a week after I got it (because I hadn't gotten a case for it yet and I set it down too hard on my Atari xDD). Other than that it is still in perfect working condition and it has yet to have any more physical damage to it.

I have my phone in a hard shell case that's kinda like those otterbox cases but not as bulky and it's actually a really good quality case. I've dropped my phone many times and never broke it. I also keep it in safe places when I'm not using it, like on my bedside or in my backpack/coat pocket when I'm going somewhere.

It would also be smart to invest in a screen protector. I was planning on getting one but I haven't had any issues with the screen so I decided not to. But it'd still be a good idea.

my method is to have two devices- a phone and an ipod touch

i have a phone- a very cheap, easily replacable, ?10 tesco thing: still can text and call fine, just not used beyond that, and i have an ipod touch 6, which is used as a phone with the data plan i have on my phone. i have an iphone 5 case on it, and store cards in the back (such as my driving license) to make sure the screen is protected if it's dropped as well. all apps, music and photos are done on the ipod.

so, it's easy- i have an (indestructible) ipod, and a phone that if it is dropped/broken/smashed won't cost me anything really to fix. thus far, i've dropped my phone once (it's an alcatel pop 4, no case or anything) on a metal bar in my boyfriend's car, and it just chipped a chunk out of the side of the phone, but it's completely fine- the screen is also a bit scratched up, but as i don't call/text that often i don't care about it.

(oh, and i've had this system for about a year now!)
