• Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.

How will you handle the wait?

Collecting as much information as possible on the game and thinking about what I'd like my island and house to look like! Oh, and an island name of course.

And then there's life, too. Full time job as a teacher's assistant will keep me quite busy! Secretly hoping there'll be kids who are going to buy the game so I can nerd about it with them. :D

Revisiting my old town then becoming obsessed with Pokemon from November until March- should probably fit dissertation research and work in there too.

Even though I love New Leaf, over the years I've reset my towns to the point where I'm kind of done with it. I've experienced enough of the game & can say I haven't 100% the museum or the fish/bugs encyclopedia either, but that doesn't really matter.

At this point I'm just going to wait for New Horizons and really give that game a proper go.

If I were to play NL again now...maybe by the time NH comes out I'll be kind of over it. Animal Crossing as much as I love the series..I need to be in the mood to play it. I think that's very common with social simulation games though. Needing a break from time to time. :p

EDIT: Just created a new town a few hours ago on NL. But nope, spent around an hour on it and decided to delete it & just wait officially for NH to be released. Don't want to tire myself out.

I will most probably descend into a life of social decay, remunerated promiscuity, and licit decoctions abuse.

lots of pocket camp, new leaf, and acgc for me! the treehouse gameplay made me nostalgic so i picked up my old towns again.

i think i’m going to revisit my acnl town- now that i’m thinking about it, while i thought this town was done, there’s a lot i can still change and improve, so that’s what i’m going to do until new horizons! it’s also help me think more positively about ac because i’ll get back into the spirit of “nothing has to be perfect, and everything is a wip bc it can always be improved and don’t stress about your town”

Luckily I have lots to keep myself occupied. I restarted Zelda: Breath of the Wild. A new expansion pack is coming out for The Sims 4. Taylor Swift's new album in August. Plus school and work and other things.

I still can't wait though.

I was literally going to make a thread about how would people survive the wait, lol.

For me, I'm nearly on mid year break for uni and I just have 2 exams to do (as well as finishing an assignment due tomorrow), then after the break it's back to uni for a bit. I will also be playing the Super Mario Maker 2, Link's Awakening and pokemon when they come out as well as restarting my NL town so that I can survive the wait for more news and playing NH. I am also thinking of slowly starting a small art business soon (maybe have YouTube and Twitter or Instagram to promote it - it will start out on a Print on Demand online store, probs Society6), with a healthy serving of trying to see my friends more regularly throughout the year.

I'm playing New Leaf and the first Animal Crossing until NH comes out. I'm really excited qwq

I?m hoping Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Link?s Awakening, Luigi?s Mansion 3, and Pok?mon Shield will be enough to keep me occupied over the next 6 months or so. I just want summer break to be over and get back to university so I can be occupied with my friends and classwork though lmao.

Getting all my games that I have on back log done, so it’ll be fine (I have roughly 15 or so games I need to play/finish)

I'm ok with the wait. It'll give me time to play through Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest XI S, Pok?mon, Doraemon Story of Seasons and The Witcher III.

So many long yes and I want to complete them before NH comes out as I doubt I'll play anything else for the rest of 2020

I still have a lot of NL to play, since I started this year, so I'm good. Plus there's plenty of other things to keep me busy while I decide if I'm going to buy a Switch for this game or not. I probably will eventually, but at the moment I'm not sure if I'm hyped enough.

I?m throwing myself back into NL. I?m determined to finish off the last little bits. And by god I will catch that damned scorpion!

The same things what I always do when I'm waiting for something: Watching YT videos, playing
other games, watch out for any news about said game...

im going to work really hard in my classes senior year because i know when the game comes out in march we'll only have 2ish months left of school and ***** is gonna hit the fan those last 2 months when the game releases HAHAH my teachers are gonna look at the sheer drop in my grades and ask what went wrong to my already subpar grades, plummeting into nothingness

should probably fit dissertation research and work in there too.

Hahahaha wow I feel this.

I'll be trying to finish up my ACNL town (finish designing the rooms of my two side characters, find that Great Statue I need to complete my Museum, etc) and hopefully launch a dream address just in time for nobody to visit it, ever.
