How will you prepare for the update?

I deleted one of the resident accounts to make room on my island, and I'm also rearranging some of my villager houses to make room for a farm.

I have a big pumpkin patch (12 of each!) that I'm gonna expand to allow for the new crops.

I put down placeholder designs for the new crops, put locations of where the ADB and placeable ladders will go.

I’m completely flattening the island and starting from the ground up!

Currently I’m working on demolishing all the bridges and inclines and relocating all the buildings to the beach. I don’t TT so I’ll probably have my clean slate ready to go right around update time. ❤️

I made a nice space for the new crops and did a little construction for a new incline I've always wanted. Other than that not much. I'm going to wait until I have access to the new items before making more changes.

Racking up the Nook Miles so I will have enough for the new items like that Ferris Wheel and curved street lamps.

i keep on going around my town thibking of what to put where but its only making time go by slower so im just saving up nook points and materials, i also want to check through and see if im missing any items before the big event lol, feels like xmas!

Probably just get all the new features and new nook mile items instead Resident Services, Talk to Blathers to see if he is interested in inviting Brewster, Check to see if Kapp'n is available, make placeable ladders and put them on my cliffs, check out Harvs island and start building the shop plaza, and then I will check out the Happy Home Designers DLC. The rest I will do on my own time because man there is so much to do. That what I will do after the update drops that is.

I reset my island so for now I'm just getting NMTs from here so I can save my nook miles for the update while finding villagers to plan my island around

I'm currently:

-finishing my island and keeping plots open for veggies

-already planned the 4 villagers who will be "ask" to move out for Tiansheng, Shino, Sasha and Ione. I will then have 5 females and 5 males if Sasha is a female.

That's it so far.

I am renovating my island a little to account for the new fencing and furniture items, and growing vegetables. It's also given me a bit of motivation to renovate some areas that I wasn't completely happy with. So far, I have:
🌟 Cleared an area for vegetable growing (though admittedly, I'm not that happy with it's placement)
🌟 Installed a new bridge
🌟 Terraformed a little to make a waterfall/moved the campsite
🌟 Removed the stargazing area
🌟 Moved one of the villager houses to make larger garden/yard areas for each villager (because hopefully I will incorporate some of the new fencing).
🌟Removed lots of weeds 😁
🌟Removed my Keroppi garden and turned it into a community area for holidays and events (currently Halloween themed)
🌟Planned where I will put the placeable ladders

I plan to invite a new villager or two, but I honestly can't decide who. 😔
I also need to sort out the flowers on my beach, because I've been storing them there in case I need them as I re-landscape.
I'd really love to come up with a great idea for a cute farming area, and hopefully as I re-fence the borders of each villagers house, something might come to me (but probably not). 😊

I already demolished my park area for a community farm. I’ve also changed one of my rooms for a better kitchen.

I’ve been changing around areas on my town in preparation for some of the items I saw on the trailer.

I know where my wisteria trellis will go. I know Where my giant boat will go, and my new farm ( my old one doesn’t fit anymore crops other than the Pumpkins). I also have ideas for the creepy skeletons, and possibly coffins (if the coffins are introduced).

I even have ideas for more inclines.
I’m slowly decorating areas in my town, that I didn’t have a clue what to do with before.

I made my pier a bit bigger in preparation for the new plaza items. However, moving stuff around without knowing the exact size of the new items was stressing me out, so I stopped.

The same thing happened with my third resident’s house. The update has made me pause everything for now. I suppose that right now I should focus on tasks that I can control like earning more bells, miles, and material.

trying to get photos before moving out two of my villagers for sasha and ione lol
also grinding nook miles and trying to figure out where to put all the farm land considering we’re getting more vegetables than the ones shown in the trailer

-Make sure I've got a good set of villagers (hoping to replace Lopez with Jacques soon)

-Clean up and expand Peggy's farm to prepare for new crops

-Delete my 6th character to expand the forest

-Clear out my meteor crash site to make room for an amusement park/carnival using some of the new plaza items (I may wait for the update to release before I do this, though)

-Keep checking Target to see if they restock Amiibos again (no luck so far...)

On my island, for as long as possible, Agnes has grown pumpkins in her front yard, so I love that Peggy is your little farmer! 😍😍

1. My island has way too many flowers, so I'm in the process of deflowering my island. I'll keep some of each, but my island is drowning in flowers at the moment.
2. Earn some more Nook Miles for Kapp'n's Boat Tours, the new Nook Mile items, possible hunting for new villagers, and so on.
3. Even though we're getting more storage updgrades, I want to look through my storage and dump some stuff I probably won't use.
4. I plan to redo my home's interior entirely once the update is out. I never even finished decorating it before I got burnt out, and watching the Direct and seeing the new items gave me some inspiration. I'll probably just take everything out of most of the rooms before the update.
5. Figure out where I want to grow my crops, and clear space for that if needed.
