How will you prepare for the update?

On my island, for as long as possible, Agnes has grown pumpkins in her front yard, so I love that Peggy is your little farmer! 😍😍
She took over Ava's farm, lol. I usually cycle my villagers as I get bored of them, but I have a miniature farm near my orchard/market that will always be run by someone! And the good news is, if I move Peggy out and decide to bring her back, I recently got her Amiibo in a random pack.

I bet Agnes' yard is cute! The pig are so underrated, honestly.

I've been collecting wood and iron as well as doing some Nook Miles tasks for extra miles! I would also like to clear out a lot of my trees but it's going to be a big job that I'm not looking forward to.

I’m currently rearranging a lot of the areas and doing a fair bit of terraforming, as well as moving a bunch of villagers homes, my home, and the museum so they have empty gardens/outside spaces ready to decorate after the update. I removed all the items from Pietro’s fairground area, because with the new fairground items coming I kinda wanna design it again from scratch.

I’m basically doing some of the broader strokes in terms of redesigning my island, but leaving plenty of space for playing with new items when they arrive 😊 I’m not too sure what the end result will be, but that’s actually pretty exciting!

Clearing my house for to decorate with the Roccoco set! Seriously the front room of my house is just random stuff because I never could find something I wanted to do with it. =/

I also will hopefully clean up my island. lol

I will see about watching for certain villagers that want to move out, in preparation for the return of my boy Ace!

I have no idea honestly. I have severe anxiety and already am feeling overwhelmed seeing how much there is and unsure where I want to start. I have a problem at managing time and focusing on one thing at a time. I’m thinking of playing around with the dlc first and checking out Harv’s studio. :) I’m so excited!

I’ll wait to terraform and make adjustments to areas for the new crops later. I also still need to move some items from my main to my alts and get the mail that i’ve been ignoring since i haven’t been playing. still need to get a few recipes from the halloween event too. 😵‍💫

Yo I just saw the update and I screamed approximately 62 times I don't even know how to prepare my body for this update

Probably just putting ideas into motion that I've had on the back-burner for a while and in general, cleaning the island up. Have an abundance of flowers in certain areas that became out of control. Still on the hunt for a couple of villagers I want, specifically Cobb & Lucky.

I just want to ease into the update and enjoy it for what it is. As I said in a previous post, it's definitely breathed new life into the game for me.

i’m honestly not sure tbh — i’ll probably be spending the next few weeks playing normally as i don’t want to start on any decoration/terraform ideas until i know what all is being added in furniture-wise, so i’ll probably just be focusing on playing every day so that i don’t fall behind and have any catching up to do, and earning as many nook miles as i can! i currently have over 1 million nook miles, so i imagine i’ll have plenty to spend on everything that’s coming, but the more the better imo lol. 😅

i’m also gonna be working on my island journal! i’ve been revamping its aesthetic for a while now, so i’m hoping to have that done by the time the update drops. i’ll be making space on my island for the incoming new crops as well. :’)

i restarted in the beginning of october and i need to get 3 stars in order to terraform/place paths. i don’t plan on terraforming but i need to put down paths before the update.

I'm tidying up some of my areas where I just threw random stuff out one day and just kinda left it there forever. My island has plenty of purposely developed areas, but also a lot of spots with no cohesion because it's just a random clump of rose bouquets or a bunny day bed on the beach or whatever. So clearing up those spots will give me more space to work with all the new stuff coming.

Also flower clean up. @_@

The first I did was set down transparent tiles to prevent gyroids from spawning in hard to reach areas (wasn't too many).
Then I cleared out some flowers and moved some onto my beach. I also knocked down a cliff so I can have some temporary room for the new farming crops.

Other than that, nothing else. I have a lot bells and nook miles. I don't feel pressed on time or anything.

I came back to the game and pretty much destroyed my entire island to start anew. I'm really pleased with how everythings coming out for now! I definitely wont be ready for the update but I'll be super motivated by it!

All I needed to do to prepare for the update was set up an area to grow the new crops and order a gas range so I have somewhere to cook the DIY recipes. Other than that, I have plenty of bells and Nook Miles so I'm pretty well prepared for the new update to drop, lol.

I've been pottering about my island, just trying to think of things I can get rid of or change or make smaller for the new stuff. Most of my Island is actually pretty barren so I've not really had to do much. There are some messy areas I need to tidy though 😅

grinding nook miles and bells, also going to rearrange what dreamies i want for my island : i really, really need petri!

i'm also trying to collect as much furniture as i can since i've resetted a long while ago. super thankful how sweet and generous people are letting others categorize furniture for cheap or free, otherwise my head would be spinning right now ...

I'm not really doing anything until I have access to the new stuff, I've marked out a few places I might add extra bridges/inclines and ladders.
Saving up nookmiles too so I can get all that stuff straight away.

I reset my island back in August. I spent a whole week looking for that perfect island which I finally found.
I built a farm which I’ve now extended in preparation for the update.
Now I’m just getting bells together for all these magical new things coming in November.

It's so great to see how you'll all prepare your island for the new update !

My first move (on progress) is to remove all the furnitures and fences from my island, as well as all the paths and roads. I want to have that "fresh start" feeling without loosing the advantages of my 600+ hours of gaming (all the fruits, the villagers I love, the ton of DIY recipes I farmed during the four seasons, etc.)
I think I'll also go for changing my villagers, or at least a few of them for some of the new ones (Shino, Sasha and Ione are so so so cool !) I'd love to redesign the whole island ! I spend two years designing an asian-vibe island and house, I'd like to go for a more cottagecore aesthetic, now. Maybe because my IRL apartment also has a strong japanese vibe, so I want to try another aesthetic !

I was eying with a second switch for over a year now. I found now a super cheap switch light with the game and I will go for it. I really want to make a second island with different aestics. Not sure yet if I make a non tt island but probably not lol The new items will come in handy and I can't wait!

I want to start over new and hopefully get this awesome feeling I had when I first started the game.
