There is a shortage ongoing for a while cause of the corona crises and such.

So I was wonder what's it like in your country?

I live in the Netherlands and the Switch lite can be sourced still. The price has gone up a little bit though but not shockingly.

The nintendo switch itself is hard to get and if you get it the price is bumped with 100 euro's / 109 dollar.
It's hard to find one and I do regret not having bought the animal crossing special edition as I have to keep sharing my switch at the moment. :(

The Lite is still pretty easy since most stores are still open and/or you can actually order it. The OG Swith has been ****ed up with prices from start like stores bundling them with stuff to drive up the price > non-bundles following so it's almost as expensive so unless you play rhythm/dance or other OG exclusives I don't see a point getting it. Sure the drift can be annoying but yeah knocks on wood don't have that on me yet.

Pretty much the same as everywhere else, I think. We have an abundance of Lites, but the normal ones are all sold out. This is online, though, so who knows if there's still any stock, anywhere, in store.

I preordered my ACNH Switch, so I'm not too upset by it, but it definitely would suck for anyone who was looking to buy one right now.

Tried to buy one for my mother today, couldn't find one anywhere, not even the lites.

In the shop I work in, or worked in before it went into temporary shut down thanks to this, we likely had some, rip.

so I had this site open that tracked down available switches when they went in stock at major retailers. I hounded that site for days, hours at a time but the scalpers continued to beat me to it and buying out stock at best buy and amazon within seconds only to resell them for 100-150$ more online. One night i stayed up all night watching the site and I decided to randomly check walmart stock and it showed up as available locally at a walmart 9 miles away so I stay up til 6 am then go there and wait outside the door until 7 am when they open. There was a huge queue of people waiting to buy toilet paper but luckily i was first in line. Then in a panicked state of mind, thinking some of them might be scalpers trying to get the switch I run to the section and wait at the desk for an hour before someone comes to help me and it turns out it was the wrong walmart and the one I was supposed to go to was three blocks away! Now without thinking why the heck they have two walmarts less than half a mile from one another, I take an uber to the other walmart and buy my switch and some toilet paper and lived happily ever after (even though I spent $40 on uber, was sleep deprived and slightly sick and coughing and everyone was scared i had covid)

normal switches, except for a few local shops that aren't open but have to rely on their online shops, have a few of them in stock. larger electronic's places are sold out. my countries amazon lowest listing (for a regular one) is almost at €600,- when these things normally - and unused, mind you - cost around €320,- meaning the price literally doubled itself.

there seem to be way more switch lite in stock everywhere, and ironically they seem to be cheaper than they normally are - i have no idea why, but i guess now that everyone is stuck at home they actually want to enjoy their games on an tv and not with a very small screen while they're cooped up. can't blame them. i personally can't go out to check on actual in-store availability (because most of them are, again, not open) but since quarantine seems to have started here (and since animal crossing was released) regular switches are practically sold out.

Damn that's a story. I remember driving really far to Germany to get 3 switch games on sale. It was like 3 titles for 100 dollar or something. And then I got there I found out they were closed already checked the time wrong lol.

When we manage to get them in once or twice a week, both models of the Switch tend to sell out fast. Honestly surprised that it is since pre-COVID we had so many in stock

Non-existent. My sister really wanted a switch and I told her I'd get her one as a present. We looked at our local store and couldn't find one. We looked online and saw a store nearby had them so we popped in. They had one left and someone else was in line behind us asking if they had any more to purchase. It's wild lol.

it's been a while, but last time I checked, the lites were still in stock but the regular switches were sold out everywhere, it was crazy. About a month ago, my cousin was thinking about buying a switch to play ACNH but told me that every store was sold out of them.

i haven’t really been keeping track since i got mine but it seems that there’s still some switch lites available in canada lol

i've been looking around local stores, and it seems to me that all the regular switches and the coral lites are all gone, but i can easily find the yellow/turquoise ones. i also checked craigslist for regular switches, and the prices are nuts (500+ USD for a regular switch)

Locally, I'm pretty much limited to a Walmart and a Target rn. About a month ago when I was at Walmart, they had a couple of Switch consoles in stock. But I wasn't buying one until Stimmy $ showed up (and was planning on getting a Lite, anyway) and didn't have the funds on hand at that time, so I passed. As the weeks went by, I was a bit worried, bc it seemed like the Lites were starting to sell out quickly as well, particularly online. But then I lucked out last Wednesday morning and was able to get the yellow Switch Lite (can't wait to get skins for it, lol) from Target.com. Definitely hit the site at the right time!

Regular switches are pretty much sold out here, but I was able to order a switch lite yesterday from Best Buy, so excited for it to come and get my second town going

I’m from Singpore and prior to Covid the OG switch was $349 and the lite $250 SGD. The latest prices are $850 and $440 respectively. 😓 was waiting out to get a lite as a birthday gift for my son but no way am I gonna pay those prices.

Pretty much nonexistent locally. Even the physical copies of games are pretty much stripped off the shelves—especially Animal Crossing New Horizons.

I was at Walmart a week ago, and the shelves that held physical copies behind the glass panes had three rows dedicated to Animal Crossing New Horizons, and each row was empty. Kinda blew my mind a bit.

Pretty much sold out. And then if a listing goes up online, it's sold out pretty much immediately.

Right now in the US, every reputable store seems to be sold out based on online stats which really sucks

nowhere to be found in my part of the US still. I've been hunting one- even a lite would do- for my sister, but we can't seem to find them anywhere except at ridiculous prices (greater than the launch price, typically....)
