It's been good for me. Looking/training an electric type for korrina, since her last poke killed my team badly... Braixen used Psybeam on her meinfoo and it got in the red. Then it got confused and hit itself and fainted XD
I need to evolve him so that revenge won't hit so hard... Ugh.
Update: rest of story went very well :3 Elite Four was tough. At first I thought I was overleveled; nope XD
Something that happened recently (spoiler tagged in case):
So I wanted to finally get Link the Gallade. First I found the Dawn Stone near Santalune. I find out Ralts are in Route 4, so I head there. I step into the flowers, and there was a flash and the screen did the slash thing from when you fight Xerneas/Yvetal. Boom. Level 70 Zapdos. Of course I promptly shouted OH S*** and was amazed no one heard me XD Then it ran immediately. It seems that I need to catch dugtrio before finding it again.

Apparently from what I read, you have to encounter the Legendary birds a number amount of times before you can catch them. So they'll always run away from you, until you find them in a cave? (something like that)
AND, I just beat the Elite 4. The ending is SO sweet <3
Is it true the level gaining is easy? I would think if anything that's a good thing, I hate grinding in RPG's XD Tedious as hell, one reason why I'm so damn picky about them!!
Long post ahead. I've beaten the Elite Four, so I think I've spent enough time on it to comment on this xD
Pros: I do like rollerblades and the PSS. Trading without being restricted by whether or not you've seen the pokemon before is great. I also rather like the detail they put into each and every 3D model, makes me appreciate how far the series has come art-wise. If you ignore the terrible story, the rest of the gameplay is fun. Also being able to customize my trainer is pretty cool.
Cons: The "story" is really bad, even by pokemon standards :/ Not impressed with Team Flare at all. They touched upon so many possible promising plot points that felt really relevant to the times we live in
(e.g. ultimate weapon/nukes, spying on people via holocaster/NSA controversy)
but they just left it at that and didn't expand on it. In RSE you could feel the impending doom from the intense rain/sun, in DPP, time and space was distorted before your very eyes...but in this game, there was nothing. I just waltzed down a corridor and saved the world.
They changed the way the Exp. share works. I guess this benefits some people, but I found myself overleveled pretty much after I got it, and I didn't even battle all the trainers available/catch pokemon on the routes. Ended up blazing through the elite 4 without much difficulty at all. Turning it off is an option though, and in hindsight I should have done that after I got it :/
Also: what happened to the post game? I liked when there was a story after, new cities to go to and caves to explore and legendaries to catch :c I'm hatching eggs and playing in the friend safari right now but that only lasts so long xD
