Well, after a long year of hard work, my husband and I got our taxes back earlier this week. After some discussion, we decided to go out and buy him his very own 3DS and a copy of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I had gotten my own 3DS and game as a birthday present in 2013, and felt it was unfair that he didn't have his own 3DS to play with.
Sadly, though, my husband has not been doing so well in terms of gameplay. He's still stuck in newb mood, despite the vast number of times he's played my own copy. It's actually kind of adorable to watch, honestly. Last night, he didn't charge his 3DS all the way and it died in the middle of his gameplay. Then he accidentally hit the power button when he was try to save and then today he had to close the game without saving because he planted his only perfect fruit too close to his house where it wouldn't grow properly.
I feel bad that he keeps slipping up and making all these mistakes, and can't wait to see what kind of awesome town he eventually comes up. I don't even think he's decided on his town flag or theme just yet.
Even so, I'm so glad that he's finally able to play ACNL with me and I will be soon writing about his town in an upcoming Eliza's Travels segment
