Are you going to be taking any bigger/more detailed requests like Isabelle and the other ones in the future?

Hi thar! I don't see myself opening bigger requests in the foreseeable future simply because I just can't afford to spend 1-3 hours on them x(. However... as I mentioned in a few posts, I will pretty much sell my soul for Dotty :')

Some people still don't realize it I guess, it takes a while for things to get around in the slowly dying fandom. Plus a lot of his character art has the big "(DJ)" slapped on it still.

Welp 8(. Hopefully that will die away eventually! Fandoms tend to cycle through things like that.

5-50 hybrids! Oh man you strike a strong deal LOL. Ok I'm going to re-look at my timeframe once I finish this trade I took up. Are you still looking for something like Isabelle? Because I can probably make that happen too, within the day. (i really like flowers ok sobsob.)

Alrighty, I just got home so I can work on updating your pic Touko.

scarletempress: Hi there! I have an outdated tutorial over here.
Generally my process for each major drawing is:
1. research and and find references (it's not cheating boys and girls)
2. draw a sketch until I get the basics. Since I paint over my stuff, my sketch at this stage is crap. I set this layer on multiple
3. on a bottom layer, I fill in the general gist of what colors I need. This is to establish the mood of my drawing AND IS REALLY IMPORTANT! I look for refs and sometimes I turn a photo I like into mosaic blocks to use that as swatches.
4. I make a layer on top of my bg colors and then fill in the character/objects of my drawing. I add some shading, but nothing too crazy here.
5. Once all of above ^ is done, I make a new layer on top of EVERYTHING and then just paint on top. (so far, I've got like 4-5 layers.)
6. I might make additional top layers to add details and merge down when I'm satisfied. (or keep it separate)
7. Once everything is kind of done, I do spot color adjustments by using overlay layers and multiply layers.
8. Finish touches include overall color adjustment using Levels, Curves, and Color Balance. I'll gaussian blur some parts of my final drawing to add depth.

Anyways oops this got really long... Let me know if you got any specific questions! I can post some WIPs if that will help.

Aaahhh no omfg this is helpful!! Thank you for taking your time to explain it ;v; (I'm still such a newbie with digital coloring despite doing it for 3 years or so) I'll definitely ask when I need some other tips, though!

Are there any specific hybrids you are looking for? I have all hybrids~ which includes carnations and jacob's ladders.

I would like to get a set of carnations so I can get started with breeding them too LOL. I am also looking for other roses and tulips, don't care too much about cosmos though*___*. Anyways, no need for flowers until I finish your drawing!
