So...we got another Hyrule Warriors game. Interesting. I never played the original set (it didn’t interest me too much) but this seems interesting (as it is tied into the canon games). What do y’all think of it?

I played the original, it was fun but got old quite fast. Won't be getting this one, even though it looks beautiful.
Maybe I'll THINK about getting it after watching a few gameplay vids on it, but I reckon the gameplay will be too similar to the first for me.

I was just replaying BOTW ajgakskldf they called me out.

I also didn't have Hyrule warriors but this seems like a interesting way to show the events before the Calamity. I'm excited you get to play as the Champions and even Zelda for a second! I'm hoping that everyone will have a different playstyle. The only thing that worries me is that the game looks like it might be short (and well, everyone knows what happens at the end if they played BOTW.)

I like the idea that each game in the BOTW line could focus on a unique aspect of gameplay: the original, obviously was open world exploration; this game looks very combat focused; and the sequel I'm guessing will be more dungeon and story based.

Super excited for this!! Been saying for a while that I'd love another Hyrule Warriors game or more DLC for the first, so this was a very pleasant surprise.

I LOVED the first Hyrule Warriors (have both the Wii U version and the Switch Definitive Edition), it was a pretty meaty game with all the content in Story, Adventure (the best), and the other modes. I hope that Age of Calamity has an Adventure Mode too, but even if it didn't, I'm one of the odd people who legitimately thinks BotW had one of the most interesting stories in the series, so I'm looking forward to seeing how Age of Calamity tells the prequel story. Can't wait to play as Revali especially since he's my fave from BotW, but I like all the Champions + Link and Zelda too. I know Sidon doesn't really make sense to be playable since he was still a kid at that point in the timeline, but man I wish he was playable too, maybe as a bonus character.

I played the past games of the original. But I'm still not buying this game because for me it will be a waste of money, just not worth it. I'm going to wait for real zelda games to come out and pay for the next one. Also people who dislike my comment then back off.

I'm a lot more interested in this one than Hyrule Warriors Legends. The previous one was good, but this one is special because we get an expanded look of past events with all the champions from BOTW. I also prefer this art style more. Two things I want the most: 2-player couch co-op and to play as my boy Revali. Have those and I will be happy. Super excited this is only a couple of months away from release!

I never played any Warriors games, mostly because the genre isn't too attractive for me. 1vs100? Thanks, I'll pass. Even tho I love BotW, I probably won't pick up this game because... I dunno, something seems very off to me. Plus, we already know how this will end, the very reason why I strongly dislike prequels. I'll probably watch someone else playing it, but...C'mon, Nintendo! I want the sequel! Or at the very least, I can dream of a port for Skyward Sword on Switch...

I enjoyed the first Hyrule Warriors (I put way more time into levelling my fairy than I care to admit) so I'm really excited for this one. While jumping across the different timelines was fun, I like that this one actually has a place within the main Zelda universe. Definitely going to buy this once it releases.

I'm definitely interested in this. I enjoyed Hyrule Warriors and played it a good amount, and also loved BotW, so I'm interested to see where they go with this, especially story-wise.

I want it but at the same time kinda no. I'm not a fan of the play style, 1 vs 100. It looks like a Fire Emblem game that once you defeat a hoard you move up a space and defeat another hoard. I'd rather freely run around swinging my sword like a maniac. I never played the original Hyrule Warriors or Fire Emblem.

Plus, is it going to be cannon? In the trailer Zelda is seen using Stasis, which, shouldn't she NOT be able to use ANY sheikah runes except the camera kinda? She technically can't use it's compendium cause Purah's assistant Syim or whatever his name is adds that in later. Weren't the rune abilities added to the slate once Link awakens and goes throu the 4 shrines on the Great Plateau? ALSO, with stasis we don't get the ability to freeze enemies until Purah upgrades it to Stasis+. I suppose an argument could be made that it always had those abilities and somehow the long slumber damages the slate, but if it always had those abilities why didn't Zelda use them earlier and was there ever mention of these abilities before Link slept for 100 years?

I think I might wait to see reviews and game play and get the game months late, as I normally do if I decide to get it.

The style looks nice, but the gameplay itself is already a huge turn away for me. I've never found any appeal with it, even with the past installments of Hyrule Warriors. No thanks!

I’m not a big fan of musou games but I loved botw o: if the story is canon, then I might consider it but most likely I’ll wait after release to see how good it is before I buy it

I’m very interested in this one! I loved Hyrule Warriors a lot but got tired of it. However seeing the familiar art style, character design and story of BotW makes me feel at home with this one, so I’ll definitely pick it up.

The downer is that I’ll have to wait; I preordered Super Mario 3D All Stars, and I would like to get it as soon as possible and given its 6 month time frame to purchase it and the fact that it’s a 1-2 months away from Hyrule Warriors, I’m going to have to prioritize it (even though the Zelda lover in me is SCREAMING to get Hyrule Warriors instead, but I want Galaxy and Sunshine :( ). Where I live, games are 90$ CDN with tax, so Hyrule Warriors will have to wait until the holidays.

The original Hyrule Warriors is fun, but I don't like the genre enough to spend that many hours in another of them. I think I'll pass on this one.

I never played the original and I'm not sure i will play this one either. I just don't like the genre of fighting games that much (I am pretty sure that is what it is?) so I'm not too interested. It looks really pretty though so I will definitely check out reviews and similar to see if it's worth it because I'm always down for pretty games with characters I like.

I'm still on the fence about getting this. I've literally grown up with LoZ, but I'll wait and see how it looks before committing. There are other games I'm waiting on that may come first.

I’ve grown up with LoZ too! Watching my older siblings play the gba version of ALttP is one of my earliest memories.

I’m not really interested in the style of gameplay in HW but if they actually build onto the lore of BotW I might be interested.

I'd be the older sibling. Started with the NES.

Yes, if it is canon, I'd be more inclined to pick it up. Departures can be fun, but I prefer staying in the accepted universe, especially since it is supposed to be tied to BotW.

AHH I'm so getting this. I've wanted to play the original Hyrule Warriors but I just got sucked into other games and never got round to it. This one looks amazing since it's the BOTW art style I love and ties more into the lore. I'm a big fan of hack and slash games so I'm definitely getting this when it comes out.
