I am confused...about turnips

I know this seems like a noob question but where/when can I buy tunips? This is my first sunday that I can get on city folk and I thought that there is a lady on every sunday near the gate that sells turnips...I just have not played WW for a few years and I can't seem to remember.

Where/ when can I buy turnips?
