I once visited this girl 2-3 times and she was TT so I took one of those mushrooms that she had next to a stump. I ate it and had a buzz. I thought I could do that although I wasn't explicitely told to.

Then she visited me a few days later, asking me if I had taken a mushroom. I answered yes. And she wasn't mad but I could see she disliked it. I apologized profusely about it. None the less, we continue to visit each other from time to time.

Sometimes, it's not just about thief.

This is why I put my rarer hybrids either very far from the gate, or in my storage / museum.
Of course, I can't do that anymore since there's too many ._. But even then, they're arranged in a way that I would notice if even one is missing.

I do the same, my flowers are arranged with 1 pink rose and then a white pansie after it, so it's easy to know if one is missing.

I've also got a small secluded area where I do my hybrid breeding, and I have it surrounded with pitfalls before someone comes over

I've never had that happen luckily, but as of late, I haven't really let people in since I have such a messy town and don't really want people visiting me at the moment while I'm cleaning things up. If I've known them for a while (or IRL), I'll let them roam around un-escorted, but generally, I follow them, especially if they're new to my town.

Also, I try to avoid people who have bad ratings. Just quick trade then I'll end it. When I go to other people's town, I won't wander around unless they say it's okay. I treat other people's towns like my own, so I will never mess with their town.

Blah, people have stolen from me on many different occasions. To be honest, it doesn't bother me too much because I know that stuff they steal are just pixels. Though it makes me wonder if these people are steal-happy irl.

I've done a few trades before, and I usually kick people out straight after because a lot of the time, my wifi is iffy and I explain this to people before we trade. Luckily, so far no one has taken anything they're not supposed to, but it's something I worry about as I have quite a few hybrids.

Is the main problem of adding random people, you need to keep an eye on them. Since I don't have much I don't really care who goes on my town XD

I know how it feels, Ive had a friend over once and my gates were open so another one of my not so close ones who comes in only for hair cuts came by. I was picking fruit and had bells lying for a trade and told the guy no taking stuff. He said ok and went to get his hair cut then left but when I returned to the gate entrance over 2.7 mil was gone out of my 4 mil. Then the guy had the nerve to come back and try taking more! I just cant..

That really sucks. >.< Unfortunately, that's the exact reason why I don't leave money lying around for trades... :/ I will hold onto it until the person shows up. But, if it's any consolation for future reference, you can actually close your gate while there's people in your town and it won't let any other people in, unless you open it again. I tried it out when my boyfriend visited my town and it actually worked. Didn't know you could close it and not kick people out. Talk to Porter and he can close it for you.

I used to play WW with my cousins when we were younger. We were very light-hearted players and never really aimed to get a perfect town or a mansion or anything. We just used to hang out but hybrid flowers, man, they were the rarest things. We used to go crazy over them.

Once I weeded my cousin's whole town (We TTed a lot for fun) and she told me as a 7/8 year old to 'take any flower' as my payment. And I was like 'sure! wow! a flower!' and then I came across a hybrid she didn't know about. I decided to be sneaky and steal it. This decision haunted me for years, I'm not even joking. I felt so bad that I'd abused her trust like that. I finally confessed about a year ago, she was initially a little annoyed but since we don't even play anymore we just laughed it off.

Moral of the story is, kids, DON'T STEAL.

One time this girl came over for a trade...when we were done, she asked if she could look around...I reluctantly said yes (this was before I had hybrids). She RAN as fast as she could on the grass. I asked her not to and she stopped... But as she was leaving, she said "by the way I pulled the weeds for u" ....

I was like -________- I was waiting for weeding day. And trying to save clovers in hopes to pick a lucky one. Looked around my town and literally every single one of both, + dandelions were gone. Last time I let random people roam.

To be honest, I've been tempted to steal from people on Animal Crossing once or twice. The only reason I was even considering it, was because of the fact half of the people I played with were hackers. They could easily generate more. I actually knew someone who did a tour of their hacked town, and followed everyone, never allowing them to roam around themselves. For some reason, they weren't allowed to go to specific areas in the town, so that made it very tempting to wander off and see what was being hidden. I don't think that I'd ever steal from someone, though.

Ugh I can't stand the fact that people can't come to my town without stealing atleast one or two things from me. WHAT'S THE POINT OF STEALING?!? You can't even let people in your town without them taking your stuff!! This is just a game it's suppose to be fun! Oh my... I understand your dislike for someone who'd do that, but... What you said you would do would put you on the same level as them. The better thing to do is simply delete them, and cease any further contact with the said person.

That's actually quite an irresponsible action to take against someone, don't you think? To be honest, the only thing you need to do, is to not do anything. The best thing to do, is to just disconnect yourself from that person completely. If you were to stay in contact with that person, you'd just be lying to yourself, and you'd be stealing from your supposedly humble nature.
