I don't understand something about the new Anti-Bump rule

do people have to wait 4 hours after a regular post before making a bump??

or do people only have to wait 4 hours to bump if the last post made was a bump?

I think it means any post. It doesn't make sense to bump a thread if the last "regular post" was half an hour ago, but the last "bump post" was 8 hours ago.

A lot of the times people bump threads that aren't even theirs, just to get more bells and a higher post count.

I understand the good luck and bumping, but if the good luck is right after they create the thread (Like 1 or 2 minutes) would that count as bumping as it's already on the first page?

I think that would be one of the exceptions because if you're posting 1 or 2 minutes after they post the thread, probably not much has changed on the front page and even if someone posted after them, it's likely to only be a thread or two, so it wouldn't make that much of a difference.

I think the rule is mainly for the people who make threads and have them pushed back off the first page really quickly because of all the bumping that happens on other threads.
