u get embers by entering contests however the mods must accept the entry b4 u get an ember but if u get declined then u can always re-enter anyway

tina told me that they will tell u what u did wrong or w/e if u get declined (im sure u will find out soon and if not then u can contact a mod about it)

You can go to the submissions and see if a mod has replied to any of your threads. They will say your entry has been "accepted" or "rejected" (if it is rejected, they will clarify why). If there is no reply, it means they haven't seen it yet and you'll have to wait a little.
