I hope they change how fruit looks on the trees.

One thing that stood out to me in the trailer is that the fruit looks weird on the trees. With the graphics being much better and the higher amount of realism in the game, I was really hoping they would have made the fruit look like its actually growing on the trees. They should have made it so that at least a couple of leaves covered a bit of the top of the fruit so that it looks like the fruit is actually growing on the tree branches. The way they have it right now, it looks like the fruit were just glued to the outside of the tree.

I agree with that a little but it would be funny if the fruit were actually glued to the tree when you said that I imagined fruit glued to a tree.
But I really like the idea to make it look like it's growing in the tree

I remember posting about this a while ago, that the fruit should be partially hidden by leaves to make it look natural, instead of fruit stuck on like it was glued.

Right.
Both the tree and the fruit look amazing when separated, but the way they attached the fruit to the tree is pretty weird to me too.
So yeah hiding it with leaves was what I had in mind too! It would look way better in my opinion.

This is something to look forward to if they change up the tree designs.*fingers crossed*

I hope they have new fruit as well. Grapes anyone? It would be cool if they changed the way the fruit looked on trees. Did they reveal a fruit tree in the video?

I hope they fix the peaches, so they grow the rightside up.

Grapes don’t grow in trees. They grow in something closer to bushes than trees. If you are looking for new fruit type I’d go for plum, grapefruits or limes before grapes.

Vines is the right word. Honestly, maybe they should give us some different types of fruit plants now. So far we have had all fruits in trees. We now have like 4 levels of growth for weeds, with different looks for each season. You can show that much love to the weeds and not bother to show any love to the fruits.

I think maybe they should come up with new plants for the fruits to come from. Vines would be a good start for grapes, honeydew, watermelon and kiwis. Bushes would be nice for raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and pineapple.

Let's start our own little gardens on our front lawns. I think this is a great idea! It definitely would be a lot of fun to have even more variety for the fruits to hunt down and collect. Receiving surprise foreign fruits from the villagers was honestly one of my favorite parts of New Leaf, being able to integrate all these new types in our towns.

Perhaps with the new mechanics on gardening flowers, we could do something similar with gardens of all kinds, such as bushes and vines.

Now that I’ve paid attention to how fruit looks on trees I agree they should partly be covered by leaves.

I didnt say they did to be fair. Have grapes growing in my backyard. :p

Comparing the New Leaf e3 trailer to the actual game its quite a difference. So there may be more image improvements to come before march 2020

I assume this will not be the final design of the fruits and some changes may happen till release. Otherwise,
I can live with the current look of them.

Don't count out the bushes! I really want to see some fruits growing on them and I think it's long overdue that they haven't done it yet. Come on, Nintendo, where's my blueberries?
