I still say we need a Game Pass style thing for classic games. I didn't bother downloading the NES Online app. I might consider it IF I can at least play the games offline and on the go...but if it's strictly online only and they do remove games from the catalog...then I probably won't...

Has anyone tried out the NES Online stuff yet? Tell me about it.

pretty sure you can play offline, you just need to log in weekly

They've been so obscure with the details I'm not really sure what goes on and what doesn't. And I've heard "this is on the FAQs on the website" "No it's not, stop lying and trying to trash talk Nintendo." At this point I don't even KNOW what to expect. I'm just happy I can still do Splatfest regardless of whether or not the other features are worthwhile.

You absolutely can play them offline but yes, you will need to 'check-in' at least once every 7 days in order to maintain offline access. If you are locked out, checking in online once will resume your access and you won't lose anything.

YAY! I still prefer Super Nintendo but let's just hope they don't pull a complete Netflix and start removing titles from the library at random.

It sucks how there are so many details that Nintendo didn't clearly state about their online service. The direct was their chance but they provided little to no news about it. Are they trying to do something here?!?!?

Drive us completely bonkers with the lack of information, maybe? xD

To be fair, most games on there are fun for like 5 minutes. With exceptions being Zelda and SMB3 but that's it! Honestly I think I'll just delete the app again soon because there's just no point lmao

I have and I played the original Mario for hours from start to end. You have payed for it so may as well get some fun from it!

idk the idea of netflix style classic games sounds cool but I don't think I would play it once a week. Plus you have to risk all your progress disappearing if they decide to randomly delete the game.

It's a cool idea, but they're not pulling it off well
