I love how the islanders actually do stuff when they are outside (inside too)

In the last week, I've found my islanders Naruto running, smelling flowers, checking out flowers, exercising, sitting by the river, sitting under trees, sitting uninvited on MY chair outside my house that I didn't give them permission to sit on, singing, eating donuts, sitting in the plaza drinking what look tea or whatever.

And in the museum, they are actually looking at the exhibits.

You can tell they put a lot of time into this game. It shows. It really does.

Also I call them islanders now because in this game they are technically islanders, right?

Exhibit A: Rowan, sleeping under a tree and then gets randomly startled awake. XD

I agree! I also had Paula stood in the square this evening singing a song, it was so lovely <3

same! it’s nice to see them being so much more alive this time around c’:

Yeah, I love how they are more expressive. Reneigh on my island appears to have a naruto addiction, as well as dusts her house constantly. Gladys likes to sit down... a lot. Like, she'll sit down for like 10 seconds, get up, walk like 5 seconds to her left and sit down again. I remember watching her do this for like 5 minutes straight.

Reneigh and Gladys are definitely the weird ones on my island.

Yes they seem to have so much more personality now that they're not just aimlessly wandering around!

Also, eating a donut? I need to see that!

Yes. It’s so cute! Axel was doing stretches in the plaza before he saw a ladybug and squatted down to look at it!

Yes, it really does bring their personalities to the forefront, it's just really nice to see to see them actually interact with the environment and with things that are going on around them.

And yes, they eat donuts. Rowan was sitting in my outside chair that he didn't have permission to sit on and eating a donut. And he wouldn't tell me where he got it from. That was so not cool of him.

Same, it's perfect! I think I saw two villagers wave at each other, I noticed it way too late though.

I pretty gotten to know my villagers like doing, just by watching them.

Plucky loves running. She also likes flowers
Rowan likes exercising and going to the museum
Rex likes reading
Ellie likes looking at the flowers
Puddles, I haven't gotten around to knowing her that well since she just moved in yesterday, but from I seen, she loves looking up at the sky and she like watching the fish in the river.

I totally agree, it's by far one of my favourite new things about this game - seeing the little things my villagers do make me smile every time, I could watch them all day <3

That's amazing, except the part where he didn't tell you where he keeps his donuts stashed. Share with the rest of us, Rowan!

Judy often likes to sing in the plaza and Bonbon has a habit of ninja running around the beach. They're both so cute ;w; Bonbon can't really go very far if she spawns in front of her house since there's currently no bridge for her to cross where her house is, but she seems to have fun ninja running all day :v It's a nice touch, they're more lively now and it just feels more immersive especially when its a villager youre particularly fond of.

Yeah, he was sitting there talking about exercise, while eating a glazed donut full of sugar and saturated fat and he wouldn't share where he got that delectable treat from. What a hog. XD

It does seem like they are more lively now. I guess living on a deserted island will do that to ya.

Apple keeps walking around with little red dumbbells and it's the cutest. I thought Sprocket was supposed to be the resident jock :p

Tom Nook and Isabelle will regularly Exercise, and if you stay long enough, the exercises will change up too. im proud of them for staying active while at a desk job all day :3

the fact that villagers actually seem to have lives now makes me very happy. every day i enter mira and kody's (starting villagers) homes and see the new furniture theyve added. just this morning i visited sydney, my most recent move in, and there she was crafting up a storm on a crafting table she just added. and then u see ur villagers doing yoga or running with sticks. ive witnessed 2 villager conversations so far and they were both way better than new leaf's in my opinion. u can also see them wave at each other as well. they're just so lively now and its nice to see.

I bought Ava a sewing machine, and she put it in her house. Every so often she will look at it and smile. I've seen her posing in front of her mirror as well, which is cute considering how shy she is.

Sprocket loves to sing in my game. Every night without fail, he'll be behind my house, singing his heart out.

Boomer makes me laugh because he's meant to be lazy, yet he exercises a lot and reads fitness magazines. I have peaches, so when I set up his house I had to make peach furniture for him. The surprise toy is cute because whenever he touches it, he gets surprised and smiles when it pops open.

Bianca loves to clean in my game. She even dusts her vacuum cleaner.

I saw a video on Reddit the other day showing that villagers can be approached by a Tarantula and get scared.

Then if you catch the Tarantula they breath a sigh of relief.

I thought that was really cool.

Also it's a really small thing, but usually if you go into a villagers house and talk to them....when you leave they wave goodbye. However if you enter their house and then leave straight away without talking to them they have a confused expression.
