I just came back from a 6 week hiatus and I’m playing through the time I missed with TTing! I think TTing makes the game way more enjoyable. I can play at a faster pace, don’t run out of things to go, and it’s more rewarding to redecorate and terraform.

Before I tried to never TT but I was getting bored with doing the same dailies for 30-40min/day... TTing (and maybe some time away) has totally got me re hooked! I seriously can’t stop playing. I’m forcing myself to stop and to exercise for an hour.

tbh i refused to TT at first too however after getting 3 stars and coming up with a plan to decorate, i saw how long it would take me to move all the buildings and i decided to just TT to move them
but after doing so i got really obsessed with TTing and suddenly it was all i did in the game and now i have 1500 hours on it 😅

i'm glad i went through the beginning story part without rushing through the game but after that i just wanted to hurry up and get 5 stars, because of this i do get a bit caught up in the game so it's good to take a break for a while :)

Yeah TT suits some people’s play style more. Personally, I like playing both ways. It’s good to anticipate seasonal changes and events but I won’t deny that TT offers people flexibility to play longer hours when they are able to and that’s a big factor. Being “required” or “obligated” to log into a game for thirty mins every single day does make it feel like a chore sometimes so having the option to play with TT is good.

omg this is exactly what happened to me! i ended up moving all my villager houses in two straight lines and vehemently HATED it, the thought of waiting so many days made me not want to play so i finally just said "it was time" and now i time travel a lot. mostly to move buildings but also to order stuff. i don't think i could ever go back

I tried not to tt, but I had a hard time getting some of the fall recipes. It kind of ruined fall for me. I wasn't enjoying the game. I just kept hunting down balloons.
I decided to tt to the middle of December, so I could just focus on balloons, then time traveled back when I had them all. I'm enjoying winter so much more. zero stress of getting recipes. I feel like I have time to talk to villagers, fish, and decorate for Christmas.

I TT sometimes! I’ll go a day ahead to grab packages for trades and then TT back - but I can’t do that in the winter cause the snowmen disappear lol.

I don’t TT as much in New Horizons causes it’s more of a hassle to change the date and such. I think as long as you’re enjoying the game and not hurting anyone else there’s no wrong way to play Animal Crossing 🥰

The golden watering can is a must. 1500 hours is awesome, I bet your island looks awesome.

This makes a lot of sense. Playing everyday was definitely feeling like a chore.

I’m glad you found a new way to play! Personally I will never time travel because it would ruin the game for me. Also I have 2 islands so I have enough daily stuff to do to keep me occupied. Sometimes I think I’m the only one here who has never time traveled.

The game is meant to be played in such a way that brings you joy. I don't TT, but I certainly don't blame anyone who does.

I'm addicted to TT myself, and wouldn't be playing if I suddenly couldn't do it.

Some of us don't have the actual time to play 'the waiting game'. :)

Forgot to add too that TT is a blessing to those who are too busy to play on some days and too free on some other days like the weekend. It’s nice to have the option to play continuously for an entire free day and not feel the pressure to “log in” daily when real life gets too busy so this option is really a blessing to some.

When I played New Leaf, I never tt but with New Horizons, I tt at the drop of hat. It’s quite convenient and it does make for a different playing experience.

After years of playing Rune Factory and the Story of Seasons games, TT reminds me of that play style...but without the time limit, monsters, or romance. Water plants, talk to villagers, scavage for items, repeat.

Yes! I started TT with New Horizons because I was too small to know what it was and how it worked with previous versions of the game. I can usually only log in during the weekend, so I mainly TT to catch up on previous days. I like going through all my daily chores, talking to my villagers, making snowboys etc...

Yes, we all paid for the game so everyone should be free to play as they wish. I find people that condone time-travelers so annoying. It's literally a bunch of pixels, I genuinely don't understand how people can fight over them... Everyone should just play the way they want and mind their own business🥰

I've been time travelling throughout the month of November to make up for the time I missed, and it definitely is more enjoyable.

I still refuse to time travel because I prefer when all the dates match up and the real time aspect is what drew me to the game. But I totally get where you're coming from. I feel like if I time travelled, my town would be much prettier and more developed than it is now. Unfortunately it'll take away my satisfaction and I just don't want that. But in another dimension, I imagine myself happily time travelling, developing a very nice town XD

i missed a couple of months due to burnout, so i've been time travelling a bit lately, which i've been enjoying. i time travelled back to turkey day yesterday and did it at my own pace which i greatly enjoyed. i am going to time travel tonight actually to fill in my new villager spot, and so i can amiibo in someone new. i certainly like that you can tt to make up for the time you have missed, especially since i don't have the energy to do daily chores, and i like to go at my own pace, with the aid of tt .
