I started TTing and...

This happened to me too! I TT'ed MONTHS to June to get more wedding items and make another player character. I found it fun and rewarding to experience a different season. It did annoy me that my villagers kept reminding me how many times I TT'ed forward since I have 5 player characters and it gets difficult to keep track who I talked to (Awww i miss you Snek, what you were gone for 1 month???!). Other than that (and Isabelle constantly annoying me), TT energizes me to keep playing so I totally understand.

I love time traveling too but I recently took a break from it in hopes that by playing on the correct date and time, I would be more likely to get the festive and winter recipes. I haven't had any luck though, so I might as well go back to time traveling.

I wouldn't time travel as much now that I have my infrastructure done if the shops opened at 7:00 AM instead of 8:00 and 9:00 AM. I like the early morning music and peacefulness, but I want to be able to hit the shops before I have to go to work. Also, I sometimes time travel to times when I'm more likely to see a sisterly or snooty or cranky villager to give them a gift. Some of them get up so late.

i originally planned on not tt, im not sure why i was against it (i think i was scared it would mess up my game) buttt then i joined villager havens discord when it first started and selected dom, and after about a week or two i got contacted saying he was ready when i didnt have a plot open so i raced to get someone out and i was like "this isnt that hard or scary" and now do it semi-frequently to kick people out lmao

Welcome aboard the ch33t squad 😎

I time travel all the time. Never felt any guilt. I get everything I need and by the time the next holiday rolls through, I already have all the DIYs and can put all my focus and energy on solely collecting the furniture for the new updates or go fishing and decorating my island which is a lot more fun imo.

I find that time travelling makes the game accessible for me. I had missed a bunch of October in game due to school and work, and I was sad about it because the Halloween update was awesome. So I time traveled back to the beginning of October so I could enjoy collecting candies and buying costume pieces and receiving recipes. I really enjoyed that. I like that I don’t have to worry about missing something specific because I can just go back in time and replay it. I also like being able to move villagers in/out quickly because the normal process takes a few days.

while i don’t really tt all that much and prefer to play day by day, i’m really glad that you’re having fun and that you’ve found a play style that suits you! 🧡

Everyone has a right to their own play styles! Even though I do not TT, I certainly understand why some people do. After all, the more people who get to experience all the fun events they missed, they better :)

I also was hesitant and kinda refused to TT at first. It took a few months for me to try it. But once I did... maaaannn I TT all the time now and I regret not doing it sooner.
I hate how slow paced the game is and it takes literal days for things to happen. Like no. I want to play the game at my own pace and play when I want to play. This is the only game I’ve ever payed that is so constricting to actual time. Some times the only time I have to play the game is on the weekends and so I’m supposed just constantly miss out of all of the stuff during the week like the NPCs? Nahhhh.

There was quite a while in New Leaf where I didn't time travel. That had its charm in some ways but especially back then you couldn't take a break from the game without losing a villager, so it was way less stressful to time travel to make sure I didn't lose anybody.

In New Horizons I have been time travelling since day one, though not by much in the beginning. I started out playing mostly day by day but honestly it can be so slow sometimes and I prefer playing at my own pace. If I have a goal in mind (at the moment I really want to collect the winter DIYs), I find it more fun to time travel as much as needed to achieve that goal.

I have also grown tired of daily tasks, so now I play for other reasons and do other things. It's more fun that way for me.

I do not time travel, because I like the charm of the game the way it is. Well that and ig things became to easy, I wpuld get bored of thr game quicker. I wabt to be able to play this game for years in the future. Even if it is not always the same exact island.
