A villager said to me that someone (X) was thinking about moving. X has already been *ping*-ing me 3 times before that so I knew something was up but I'm trying to ignore him. Should I talk now and say that he should move, or let him move by himself? He still hasn't packed any boxes.

I agree with this. If it's one you don't have a very strong friendship with, chances are high that they won't obey if you tell them to go.

Ignore him. Completely. If he pings, don't talk to him. If you talk to him when he pings, you're giving him the chance to change his mind.

That works best for me when I definitely want someone to move.

They are moving. Just ignore them if you want them out.

The one reason you might want to talk to them -- if you don't tt and you need to know what day they're leaving. In that case; save your game, go find them and let them ping, if they try to stay reset your game and try again. If you don't care when they leave then yeah, stay as far away from them as you can.

Id ignore them I haven't spoken to Colton the whole time he's been in my town, I didn't even greet him! He moved out in the time I've played pokemon! Yay!

If they ping you and end up staying instead, all you have to do is close without saving and load the game again. They will ping you again and tell you that they are moving and u get another chance to tell them to stay or move.

Seems like a lot of people don't know about this close without saving and reload method?
