He still wears his Hawaiian shirt and sunglasses in the pouring rain and just soaks it all up. I guess he's a Kappa so he likes the water? But it would have been nice to see an outfit change, just like how Digby used to wear a raincoat at least. Btw, dear time travellers and southern hemisphere folks, if he does change outfits in other seasons, please do not spoil for me or tell me he does. I'd like to find that out myself. This is specifically about the rain hehe.

Nah. He's a kappa, so he's naturally got an affinity for water. I mean, they do have little basins of water on top of their heads, after all. TBH, it's always surprised me that he's as nice as he is. Kappas in Japanese mythology are little ... troublemakers.
Yeah I agree with @Crowsie —he’s a kappa and just in general amphibious creature, so it makes perfect sense that he’d like the rain. I don’t think the frog villagers wear rain coats or umbrellas either, but I could be wrong.
tbh i don't see it happening when the weather would also change while traveling. it started snowing, then i suddenly realized the update announcement mentioned it could be a different climate or time of day even.
to be fair, his outfit makes sense during any given season/weather to me. he's a kappa, so he likes water, which means rain and snow are both fine for him. amphibians generally are associated with warm weather, so spring and summer make sense. i suppose an argument could be made for winter since amphibians tend to burrow or hibernate to keep warm during that season, but i also don't know how that applies to kappas specifically and haven't reached winter yet, so if he does change outfits to accommodate for that, i wouldn't know yet.
