So, I was thinking of something. When you meet Rover (or I guess anyone else. :/), he should ask if you want to see an even more tropical island. Basically, it can change a few things at the tropical island.

Maybe less snow, less autumn and more summer. Summer fish and bug's months are longer while there are less winter bugs. Rarity and month long probably :p

Maybe tanning can be easier in the tropical island by having it go quicker and disappearing slower. Really, I'm just thinking of scenery and stuff. :/

Maybe a few animations to show that it is hotter on a tropical island?

Not sure, can you let me know some stuff?

I thought it already was a tropical island.

Seasons already take care of different species available to catch.

We get to choose our skin color so tanning isn't necessary.

I like that extra 15 minutes per character I'll be saving not having to tan, and putting that time towards real life activities. ^_^

Yep. :3

I was thinking Rover would probably say would you like an island that is more tropical or less tropical. Something like that? As for tanning, not entirely sure how to say it. :/

I know. I was thinking it was longer like a tarantula can appear May - September instead of June - August.

Then winter collectibles appear less like an oarfish from December - May can be December - March.

Then possibly the summer can be more common to find while winter stuff are harder/rarer to find.

This would be interesting and different to have! I think changing the hemisphere is already a nice step in this direction, so maybe in the future games it will be an option?

I would like more the opposite of such an island: More snow, less summer, like located around a cold region. That would be nice and also helpful for those who prefer a certain season more than the others. Overall a nice idea and would welcome it if you get such a option one day.

I'd like winter to have no snow, as it doesn't snow where I am, and it's not natural (to me).

I know they have the Snowman Series etc, but I wish it could be obtained without snow, or wipe that set out.

I like some of the Ice Set though, but three months of suffocating snow is very depressing. :(

Well, I also live in a region where we get barely snow, but that's exactly the reason why I would love to have a town/island in AC with more winter/snow and less summer, because at least I can then enjoy a actual winter in a video game if mother nature doesn't allow me to enjoy it IRL. Also, I love winter in AC games, hence why it's also (next to fall) my favorite season.

And while it may sucks, it makes kinda sense that both Snowman and Ice series can only be obtained in winter time, as they are winter themed. Not sure how else you could obtain them without winter.

Maybe there could be snow on a Tortimer style island where you could catch snowflakes.

I can't stand making snowmen/women though.

It's three months of nothing but white.
It's also three months where I know if there's snow, I'll barely be able to stand loading the game, and performing daily duties.

There has to be a happy medium, as I've seen a few people over the years that also don't like it.:(

I think the seasons should remain the same for everyone lol, it just makes the most sense to me.

Yes! A winter island would be such a great idea! Maybe we could have an island where it is the opposite season as our island ingame? Like, if it is summer ingame the island would be winter and if it was fall ingame the island would be in spring? Or maybe you could choose, for a hefty price, what season your island was?

That doesn't make sense.

To me, it's totally insane having snow during the Australian summer, which is winter in the game.

It doesn't snow here, so why should we have to suffer through it?

Even playing in our own hemisphere they're still going to make it snow in winter, even though it doesn't in Australia.

I totally get that. Where I live, its snowing and cold for just about the whole year, so I really like the 4 season split even though it's a little bit inaccurate. That's just me, though.

I can understand people who live where it snows, it is a natural occurrence, but when someone like me that's never seen snow, to have my summers dominated by it, is overwhelming.

I started my old New Leaf town in winter and I was depressed the entire time.

It was winter when I deleted my beloved town, but being winter made it easier to take. :(

Would be nice if you would get asked at the beginning of New Horizons from which country you come from and therefore the game customize the season change so that it will fit with the season change IRL. Like for example you live in Australian and it's summer, you will have the Australian summer also in your game, with no snow and such of course.

That's exactly what I want, being from Australia, but there would have to be a way, like a winter Tortimer island we could travel to, to obtain the winter bugs, fish, snowman and ice sets. ^_^

That's probably what is going to happen, though. Hot and sunny during December-February, Snowy and cold from June to August. Holidays should stay on the same date though : so southern hemisphere will get Christmas when it's warm and sunny, and get Halloween in late October, when it's a rainy spring.

Halloween is an American thing really.
I don't mind it, but I don't celebrate it anywhere apart from the game, which is fine by me. Tis kinda fun.

well there is a hemisphere option for this exact thing...can’t remember where I read it.

I meant with the hemisphere change lol, like I feel the southern and northern hemispheres should keep their respective 3mo long seasons.

I didn't expect a discussion like this. :p

I was honestly thinking of both islands to be tropical, just one is more. I think a hemisphere one is a better one, it's awkward when it's summer but it's "winter" in the Southern hemisphere. :]
