If there is voice acting in the next animal crossing game?

That's going to be a pass for me.
Mainly because animalese is what it always has been, and hearing a realistic voice in game would be really confusing?

Plus, sometimes different names and such can be pronouced differently. And they are millions of things that can be chosen for your character and town.

Imo it just seems like too much of a hassle to do, for unnecessary reasons.

Hard no for me! I don't think they'll do that though, it would cost a lot to localise the dialogue for each language, even if they only localise the main languages. It's much cheaper to keep the dialogue sounds they have.

LOL No I don't want this at all but if Nintendo absolutely HAD to do this, Isabelle's voice better be Amy Poehler from Parks and Rec

let Rooney say the f word

I don't think it would fit, in all honesty. Kinda like if you added voice acting to the legend of zelda (oh wait, and they did that pretty well). Animalese is fine as it is.

if they did the amount of time between japanese and the rest of the world's release date would be huge!! D:

tbh i think i would hate that and also it would take way too much time to find a unique voice for each character

Most players who play the animal crossing series are used to the spoken ingame language called animalese
or some of its variations used in the older games like wild world and the first animal crossing on the gamecube.

But what if they changed this by adding voice actors to the npcs instead of animalese ,would it be a good or bad idea? .

They would probably speak in different languages depending on the region you are in for example if your language is set to japanese they would speak japanese.

Hi Thanks for sharing such an amazing post.

No thanks. It would feel very out of place for animals actually talking. Even if it were the case, it would take a ton of work because of the massive amount of dialogue. Don?t fix what isn?t broken as Isabelle said.

I rather not have that feature. I already have canon voices for the animals in my town, and having a voice actor might ruin that for me. Also, I really like the animalese language they speak.

No. The "Animalese" text speech the villagers use IS their voice acting. Actual voice acting would greatly increase the production cost and extend the production time of the games extraordinarily. It would be a disaster.

Voice acting for the animals after hearing the regular voices in the animal form would sound very weird plus the animal voices are nice and cute

Pretty much agree with what others have said, actual talking for the animals would just be weird. I mean, they already kinds have voices, esp crankies and peppies, which I'm fine with. The only thing I can see them doing is adding a unique voice for all the personalities of animals, possibly giving certain NPCs unique voices as well. Both Joan and Luna already have unique only them voices.
