You guys are gaging Brawl's... "greatness" by its replay value. IGN's obviously looking at everything; sound, gameplay, graphics, etc... so sure, by that logic, perhaps Galaxy is better than Brawl.

I'm gonna disagree, of course, but still.

I think their score is just fine. In fact, I was expecting lower, since Matt said he wouldn't rate it as high as Metroid or Galaxy. I was actually thinking they'd give ti a 9.3 or 9.4.

Gotta wonder, though, if Brawl might have a chance of getting into the Top 10 at GameRankings and Metacritic.

I doubt it.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl is probably going to be a huge disappointment to me.

Gamerankings doesn't represent your opinion, last time I checked. It's a review aggregate, and currently, Brawl's scores range from 95 to 100. That's top 10 material right there.

Edit - And what's with the melodrama? "Huge disappointment"? Save the verdict for when you play the game.

Last time I checked, some site gave it a 9.3.

And guys, IGN doesn't play these games 24/7. They probably tried out Wolf and Falco once, didn't really bother to check out their moves, and assumed they were clones. It's an easy assumption to make if you just quickly glance at the movesets.

The single player mode looks really boring after a period of time.
I'm only getting it to play as Lucas.

And since when has singleplayer been the focus of Smash? IMO, it looks like a well-made Kirby game.

Multiplayer is going to be awesome even though I probably won't even play it.

Then why the hell are you buying the game? Smash is a mulitplayer-centric affair.

Seriously, if you're buying Brawl KNOWING it's going to be a "huge disappointment", and the only reason you're getting it is to play as ONE character and to make a stage or two, you might want to reconsider the purchase.
