Ign Reviews Accf

I think it would have fetched a higher score if they pretended GCN and WW didn't exist, which I almost think they should have done. And hey, 7.5 is still good, as this game is. They even said that this game was the best of the three, so don't get worked up over it.

Yup, I agree. The score was lowered only because CF is so similar to the other games...

They do that too often, it really sucks.

They said the same thing about Wild world too.

I agree with everything in their video review, except the thing he said about NES games and also handhelds,

WoW ign is getting thier ass handed to them. At the end of the day if you believe everything a critic says you would miss some great gems. There have been many films and games been panned in the past that are now seen as classic. At the end of the day I believe the critic got the score wrong. For first timers I'm sure he would have given it a 9.
But I think he was worried about long time players and this is where he slipped up with the score. Many Animal Crossing fans love the whole idea and concept of the game. Im one of them and I truely believe there will be some hidden gems within the game.

A 7.5 is still a respectable score. I would have given CF a 7 or 6.5, but only because I was expecting more of a GC feel than a WW feel. It's just kind of disheartening, especially with the decidedly small amount of animal communication when compared to GC.

7.5 is right on. I'd give it a bit lower, but 7.5 is good considering the game has almost no new content...everything IGN said was true. I'm glad someone had the balls to say it.

I agree with the review. IMO, it has qualities to be the best, but it lacks the NES games, which was my favorite addition in the GCN version. I'd definetly prefer both of these over the hand held though, no doubts.

It's just kind of disheartening, especially with the decidedly small amount of animal communication when compared to GC.

I'll definetly agree with this statement also. My favorite part of the game was communicating with the animals. It's kind of saddening that some of my favorite neighbors are being watered down and then beaten into the ground through the games now.

I also like asking for jobs rather than being asked tbh. But other than that, the animal communication has greatly improved with the City Folk version over the Wild World version, but the GameCube version still had it best.

He was also right in saying that this game is better suited as a handheld game. That's why I didn't really like the original after first playing WW.

Well,ACCF is more a 8.5 not 7.5 but who really pays attention to the score? That won't stop you from buying it.

IGN have a new nintendo pod-cast up on thier webpage explaining the reason for the score and explaining the reason it is worth a listen

I liked the review but I would give it atleast a 8.0, I do wish they did more things though it only seems like Animal Crossing 2.5...

very bad score, they do make some good points about being the best of both worlds from the gc version and the ds version. Still though I never played the ds version so I think that this game should of at least scored 8.5
