I'm having a problem with my Switch and/or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

I've only been playing MK8DX recently as far as Switch games, but I have 2 sets of Joy-Cons, and I always have a hard time turning left whenever I drive... help please?

Is steering assist turned on? I think it may be by default. I had a similar issue when I first played and realised something stupid like that was on by default for some bizarre reason.

Are you using motion/tilt controls or do you use classic controls to play? If you have problems even if steering assist is off like Tao said above then you can try to recalibrate the control stick in the options menu. Although I'm not sure if it's in the controller menu or the general settings, ask Google I guess

If you're using motion controls and it doesn't work that's a bit harder to fix, you probably have a defective controller then.
