In HHP, do you like designing the exterior or interior more?

For HHP, I would have to say interior for me. I love interior design, so it aligns with my likes nicely.
Plus, it's hard to get symmetry outside AND it just seems more difficult to decorate for some reason....

What about you? And why?

For me it would have to be the Interior, because it gives me ideas of where I want to put the furniture items. I use a lot of the partition walls and ceiling items to make it look great. I spend a lot of time decorating in the interior than I do the exterior. This may come a shock to some people but I never liked the idea of decorating outside. I mean I put items that are meant for "outdoors" yet I see villagers put them inside their home. So I made sure if a villager asks for like an "outdoor theme" I made sure to put all of it outside and then I put all of the "Indoor" items in the home. Thats just how I see it.

Interior. I like decorating outside on my own island, but in the DLC (and back in HHD) it just feels draining. I might skip the exterior design in the future just so I don't feel too tired to do more than one house a week.

Generally, the interior. However, there have been a handful of homes that I focused almost entirely on the exterior, if the theme allowed.

i don't really care for one over the other. my exteriors tend to follow the same layout (lots of trees, circle paths) and my recent interiors have followed pretty much the same layout as well, using the simple panels to emulate a hall in the middle of the room and then divide it into four. (bedroom, bathroom/toilet, kitchen, lounge.) i suck at decorating, as i've mentioned in other threads, and don't particularly enjoy it either asdfghj.

I prefer the interior as long as it's a theme I can work with. Sometimes the villagers want such an ugly theme that idk how to make it aesthetic. I do enjoy working on the exterior as well, but I feel more indecisive about it. I usually end up changing the house exterior several times because I can never decide on roof/siding/door colour combos.

I like the exterior for the weirder themes-- Boots asked for a farm... Sir thats going outside, sorry. I made him a little cabin interior.

Um... overall I don't know if I enjoy one more over the other, mostly because I feel bad at both of them haha especially when I look at other designs by other players!!

Usually interior is where the majority of my work goes but there were a few where the exterior was where the theme really shone.

I actually really enjoy designing exteriors, maybe because it's something we don't usually get to do as much of on our own islands! I love making sure the outside area surrounding the house is just as nice as the inside, and I'm also just a really big fan of all the plants and bushes this game has to offer.

It can depend on the specific request (if I care to follow it, rather than just go entirely in my own creative direction) but generally the interior. Some exteriors I've done have been really fun to create and perhaps even better than the interior, but interior design is where my heart is at the end of the day.

Interiors are easier to be creative with, specially once you unlock the walls, pillars and counters. Imo at least.

Interiors for me. I just find them to be more fun, since you can take them so many different ways thanks to the wallpapers and flooring.

I love exteriors. I'm an environment artist, so it's something I know well and enjoy doing. The interior design takes me awhile to plan out and I usually have to work in two parts.
For example I'll place the furniture I want/wallpaper, take a break and then design the layout. A lot of my interiors are exteriors, lol.

I’m a mix of both. I usually try to fancy up the exterior, but if the landscape I picked is kind of weird — I just do a little bit.

Depends on the theme. Some themes are really meant for exteriors (Savannah’s wish for an arid theme) while some are for interiors (Maddie’s vlogger thing). I enjoy both.
