Is a second town fun or exhausting?

Hi, so recently I caught the resetting bug, but I managed to squash it because of my loving attachment to a town with a bad layout. So, I really can't let go of Woofkin yet. However, because I really would like to carry out another themed town, getting the digital copy, along with my physical copy, seems like the best idea.

Yes, it's a little expensive, but what I'm asking is for those who do have two towns (either two 3DS' or a digital and physical copy, etc..) is is worth it?

Because I figure I'll play for a while, at least a year or more, I think it's a fine investment. Plus, it expands room to meet more villagers.

Would you get a second copy if you don't have one?

I'd love to get a second copy, tbh. Only when I'm later into the game so I know what I'm doing when I come to resetting.

I plan on getting a second copy when I can work it into my budget. I think it would be a lot of fun!

The only way it seems exhausting would be if you had school. I want another copy since it seems fun, but I'm not even going to consider it since I get so much homework!
If you don't get much, though, I would definitely get another copy of the game. :)

I caught the resetting bug and like you, I couldn't let my town of dreamies go.

So I bought the digital copy and transferred my town.

I kind of regret it now, but I don't as well because I use my second town to TT and to host parties in, such as letting people pick a date to TT to and letting them play all they want. I'm working on setting up a nice layout and getting creative but its nice to have the second copy to mess around on.

I plan on working on my second town after i feel accomplished with my first

I'll get one once I've saved up enough. I can gather more villagers, do more things, and make a giveaway town.

Its both. I have 2, and while starting the town from scratch was fun, it got kind of boring afterwards....my town is in winter and I have a lot of my dreamies but I also want to reset...I haven't played that town in a few days lol not sure what to do. Love the layout, villagers, etc but just not feeling it.

For me it was exhausting. I'm very self-critical and perfectionist, so having two towns just doubled my stress. Because I'd want to do everything for both towns every day (shaking trees, digging up stuff, shopping, talking to villagers, etc.), and doing everything for one town already took up enough of my time.

But if you're more laid back, I think it could be nice. You could mess around with things, TT if you don't want to do it on your first town, stuff like that.

When I get a second one, I'll move my main town there and use this current one as a junk town for my things and also for cycling and giveaways. :)

Thanks for all the awesome input, I would reply to everyone but...I'm too lazy (not a good sign for having a second town xD)

Some very valid points, regarding schoolwork, I'd probably alternate between towns anyhow every day or so. That way I don't get bored of one for a while.

Oh, hey again!! I'm guessing this is an answer to those who were kind of enough to take a dreamie for me when I would of reset.
I appreciated everyone on that last board though c:

That's how I feel. I'll probably start the second one in October and work on this one until I can save up a few bucks.

I want another town, but I'm super cheap :p
I'll probably pick one up when used copies are less expensive- I really want to do a themed town.

No I don't want another town. Keeping track of everything in my only town is enough. Besides, doing things once is fun. Doing things twice seems like a choir.

*pictures large orchestra playing as you make a second town* xD That was a terrible pun...very sorry. Anyhow, I get your point, but I figure once you get past the chore-parts, the rest is fun as you get to do so much.

I want a second copy, but to do it correctly I'd have to buy another 3ds and I can't really justify that. :D

yes very tiring after a while. i got my second copy for villager cycling, now i want to establish another town with a completely different theme to my first.

plus i can never settle with 10 villagers, i like too many of them! so at least i have 20 now :)

but i usually play like crazy in one town, then switch over to the other town and play like crazy, etc etc. makes things more interesting and i'm less likely to get bored.

Personally I find it exhausting. I hardly ever use my second town. It's nice to have on occasion for trading and such but other than that I don't do much with it.

I think it depends on the type of player you are. Getting a second copy sounded fun to me at first, but going through all of the beginning parts and re-building up another town after I had done it once was boring. But I think I just enjoy perfecting an established town more than do starting from scratch.

I'll probably start doing villager cycling with it soon, then maybe make another town if I get bored of my main one.

I have a second copy on my old 3ds, but I don't have the time to do anything with it yet. This is mainly because I feel like I don't have enough furniture to come up with ideas. My main town isn't even finished yet so :) It can be very fun tho!

I find I don't even have much energy/time to play my main town more than a couple of days a week now, and my second copy gets even less use. It was fine over summer when all I had to do was work on a script, but my schedule has gotten a lot busier and will continue to do so over October and November.
