Is City Folk worth buying it now?

If you just want to be alone and play with yourself for a while then, yes, get ACCF. You wont be able to get any DLC's or play online on that version (You can do that on New Leaf so no worries) If you are a true fan of this serious than I reccomend you buy it, play it, and later keep it as a collection

Honestly, I don't even touch my City Folk. But if you are quite curious about the new features on there, including the new things that you can do unlike in any other AC game, then aim for it. It should be cheaper right now, so it shouldn't really hurt to try. It's an Animal Crossing game! What's not to love?

I don't think it is worth buying right now unless you have the money to waste. It is not as good as New Leaf and honestly has no feature that is super redeeming (The city thing gets kind of old after a while)

I'd say no, unless maybe you played and liked Wild World. and won't mind the fact that you have to point at the screen a whole lot. 'cause that's a thing. if you can't keep your hands steady, making clothes is kind of annoying. in general, moving stuff around in your pockets/closet is also sort of annoying.
City Folk was my first Animal Crossing game and I personally loved it. I didn't get too into it 'cause I didn't get to play it very often, but I loved it regardless.
there are a lot of limitations, and it would be odd to go backwards. but I could still pick it up again and have some fun with it...
also sometimes I really miss my tiny character and how shirts were all worn as dresses on female characters. it was cute. I also miss the puffy sleeves they got. I hope puffy sleeves make it as a thing in the next Animal Crossing game.

Get it if you want to know what the original and Wild World would make when mixed together. For all those saying it's a port of Wild World, you either didn't play Wild World that much, or you're totally forgetting WW, because WW has no real life holidays, the original and CF do. They retain a lot of the changes made to the game that were introduced in Wild World, but that doesn't make it a port. Like I said WW has no real world holidays, no Christmas (Toy Day), no April Fool's, no Harvest Festival like the original and CF do (same with New Leaf). Again, if you want to see what the original and Wild World put together make, get it. Otherwise, New Leaf takes all 3 mixes them together, adds in about 40% new content/ideas, and nearly becomes flawless- random moving makes it slightly flawed to me.

No. New Leaf is miles better. City Folk barely has any features that weren't brought over to New Leaf that would make it worth playing, unlike older games such as Population Growing which are worth playing due to how much different they are from current games.

If you are already playing ACNL, you'll be disappointed with City Folk, especially if you can't play it online.

If you want some specific reasons, here are two:

1. The bus ride back and forth between the city is awful. You have to listen to Kapp'n yap for a couple of minutes and there is no skipping it.

2. Grass wear in CF is awful. Your entire town will end up looking like a desert with no grass just by walking on grass to get from place to place.

I agree with this completely omg.. I cant even tell you how much grass wear has been in my town..

I have animal crossing city folk but I haven't played since many years ago it seems, and I can't quite remember why I stopped playing.. But why not play the new stuff like animal crossing new leaf? Though it's not that new anymore xD

I hated the ride with kapp'n i was just there rapidly pressing the A button on the wii remote...and my dad was like "Are you even listening to what hes saying!?"

Honestly its my favorite AC game. It isn't that much of a rehash of WW to me. Theres Wisp, new holidays, silver tools, pro designs, the grass going away isn't that bad if you be careful, and it overall looks polished. Sure it has its bad sides like villagers not being as interactive, but its still a fun game. I recommend it. Also, if it is a rehash of WW, then look at how much WW is a rehash of e+.

Well, I thought the boat ride in Animal Crossing GCN was more annoying than the bus ride in CF.
