I've been wondering this for forever and the wiki doesn't seem to help much in solving this issue. so how do you guys pronounce Beardo's name?

honestly ever since I started NL I've always said "beer-doh" but I'm starting to think that's not the correct pronunciation lol

I've always pronounced it "beerd-oh" like the word beard with an 'o' at the end, which is close enough to "beer-doh". I know he's a bear, but "bear-doh" doesn't sound right to me.

I cast my vote for "beer do" because I thought the name was a reference to him having facial hair (a very nice moustache). I can see the argument for "bear do" though, since he also happens to be a bear.

Um I always pronounce it "Beer-doh" but now that I see this I'm starting to wonder if I pronounce a lot of villagers names wrong.
I thought it was "Beer-doh" because he is a bear with a beard so like beard and bear smashed together?

The first time I saw him and his name, my mind's first instinct was to read it with the "beer-doh"/"beard-oh" pronunciation. The moustache/facial hair has me leaning in that direction, but honestly one day some time ago I thought about it and realized that it could possibly be pronounced another way, but rather than "bear-doh", I figured it could be "bear-do", like hairdo (which is ironic considering his balding).

However it's pronounced, I like him! Had him as a resident in New Leaf in the past.

i met him when he moved into my first file in new leaf a long time ago and ever since i’ve called him “bear-doh”

I've honestly said it both ways depending on my mood. They both make sense. I think it's both. XD

I'm glad to see a consensus here, I wasn't sure how divided the community was on this issue.

Beardo is a weirdo.So,yeah....Beer-doh.Plus,anything with the word "beer" in it is OK with me.

I feel like it's supposed to be "bear-doh", but usually I say "beer-doh" because it's the easier/lazier pronunciation imo.
