Is it me, or are Partition Walls not very good?

Seriously. I was hoping to add them to my front room to separate the hall from the office bit, but those sections are 3x0.5, and the partition wall is stuck at 2x0.5 and can't be changed. Plus, you can't hang items on them, making them look very bare... kinda sucks to be honest.

I still really like them! They’re very useful, but I use them mostly on HHP. I haven’t really needed them on my house.

im excited to replace the climbing wall giving privacy in my bathroom for a partition! even though you cant hang things on them (which is surprising to me tbh) it wont change much since i couldnt hang anything on the climbing wall anyways. im just happy the rocks wont be there anymore haha

Heh, it would work for that. Weirdly enough I tried the same thing for my bathroom, replacing the Zen Partition in mine - but it just didn't look right. It DOES look right in my main front room, but my 'hall' has 3 squares of hallway either side of a two square entrance to my office/workshop. If it could be applied square by square, instead of 2 squares, it'd be perfect.

That's true. I did a pretty nice house in HHP using one. I guess it just doesn't take into account pre-made house layouts. I tried jimmying my front room about to make it work, but it just didn't look right.

Have you tried a support pillar, maybe, to fill the last space you wanted the wall to fill?

I really like them in HHP where you can resize the interior to make the partitions useful, but I can see why they might be a bit limiting on your home island. Haven’t tried them yet in my player house.

I've yet to unlock them to verify space, but they were shown with counters as well in the Direct.

Someone I watch streaming unlocked them, they're 0.5 by 0.5, you could cap your wall on each side and it should work out to 0.5 x 3

Honestly, I'm kinda glad they're 2x0.5. Working in evens is a lot easier than working in odds. Plus, its better than nothing at all!

I didn't unlock them yet, but even before they were added to the game, I always thought that plain white simple panels work well as partitions/walls, so if I find these new partitions odd to work with, and I feel the need to use a partition, I may just use the simple panel.

Yeee, I've already used the accent walls feature but a partition being used as a little pop of color is less busy with certain designs so I was hoping I could just decorate the partition for that. It's okay though, the new accent walls are still really nice anyway!

I'm a little disappointed when I figured out you couldn't hang things on them. If and any case animal crossing updates to fix this I would gladly like it but I'm not going to have my hopes up

I really like them but like others I do feel it is somewhat frustrating you cannot place wall decorations on them.

It would be good if Nintendo right now is listening to feedback to see what little things they could change in a "minor update", as unlikely as it is.

I tried to give Kitt's dream home an actual room system using the partition walls and it was a bit painful. Doesn't help they don't line up quite right to make a corner leaving space between them which I guess requires columns which you unlock later. Not really enough space to make explorable homes with multiple rooms which is what I was hoping to use the partitions for. I think they'll just have to live without restrooms and kitchens.
