I've been noticing a lot of glitches associated with the Amiibo system, some I don't fully understand, so I just wanna ask.

I decided to cave in and order a Mathilda Amiibo card and it just arrived and I'm super excited to use it, but I don't want to if it's just going to ruin a plot (and possibly one of the dreamies I worked hard to get)

i've used amiibos and it's fine as long as no one adopts villagers forced out by them

I could be wrong, but I think you'll only have problems with moving in an amiibo character if you move out another character to move them in. An irl friend of mine just got the plot glitch from him forcing out Rodney to move in Midge, and now Midge is glitched :'O I'd personally wait it out for a bit just in case since Nintendo has been dealing with patching glitches at a decent enough pace, but I also understand really wanting your villager to move in after buying the amiibo card, I wish you the best yo!

After I got my 10 villagers, I moved Hopper (my best pal) in, partly so that I could get rid of Jacques. It worked easily and required no skills or special information to do it. Hopper is living on my island now, and Jacques is gone for good.

(I don't trade villagers so that wasn't an issue for me.)

I'd wait, especially if you have to kick someone out for them and you plan on visiting other player's islands or having others visit you.

I had Willow (an amiibo villager) ping me to move on her own with the thought bubble. I gave her to someone, and they got a glitched Kiki plot instead of Willow. Apparently Kiki (a previous amiibo villager, but they did not occupy the same plot!) was somehow in my void despite successfully being adopted by somebody else.

You may be safe if you don't have 10 full villagers yet, but honestly, I wouldn't risk it. It can result in a bugged plot that you can't use until the developers push out a patch (or two).

People are still experiencing the glitch where if you force someone out for a camper, the camper will have the kicked out villager's exterior housing.

Very safe. I've moved in 3 amiibos so far. The glitch is for those adopting evicted villagers because of amiibo move-ins.
