I've been hearing that gold tools break. I saw a picture where it said that the Golden Axe broke. I mean, what's the point in using them if this is true? I just spent 3,000 Nook Miles on the Better Tools Upgrade and I'm told they break too. In this series only the Axe broke until you acquired the Golden Axe.

Might as well stick to Flimsy Tools. The rest are a waste of materials.

I'm not sure about Golden tools, although that seems to be what people are thinking. The tool upgrades are totally worth it though! They last a whole lot longer than the flimsy tools.

They do break. I've seen a video of it, think it was on one of the AC subreddits?

Even if they do break, they last a heck of a while longer than flimsy tools, the step up from flimsy is already a big upgrade so I can just imagine how long the golden ones last

That is pretty annoying. :/ But I do think the upgrade from flimsy to better tools is worth it. I've just been buying flimsy tools from the shop and upgrading them to the better versions directly from there.

I wonder if there's any version of the tools that actually are unbreakable in the game?

I actually like that the tools break lol.

I know I posted about this earlier, but now that I’ve seen the picture, this may be hacked in as it uses the same dialog tree as normal tools do when they break, why use the same dialog for something so rare? (Yes they are somehow hacking already, don’t know how)

I hope we, at the very least, can repair them before they break :\ It's annoying to constantly rebuild them but I wouldn't mind contributing supplies to make them sturdier again or something lol

Maybe there's something above gold ones. Like platinum for completing major feats like previous games. :( One can hope...

Oh, that's really frustrating. I could deal with the breakable tools *if* there was eventually a level of tools to aspire for that don't break.

Totally agree. There has to be a goal we can work towards
