i guess if you’re grinding for mats and don’t want to buy them? i like flying to them and clearing the island for mats to switch things up. now that i’ve developed a lot of my island my trees are for aesthetics only and i often can’t chop wood efficiently. it def helps to fly to an island and do some choppin.
If you were wanting to clear the island to hunt for scorpions or tarantulas. Even there spawn rate has been reduced, other than that i do feel like they’ve gotten boring and maybe need new ones added with new features.
In June player 2 found shark island and filled her pockets. Sold them to C.J. for a lot of bells.
I just go when it's time to catch new bugs/fish and villager hunting. Pier fish are easier to catch on a mystery island.
They can still be useful if you are looking to get more new DYIs or furniture from trees, and you still can end up on a money rock island, i think. It just depends on if you are ok with spending your tickets hoping to get these things or not.
It's worth it for the materials. I usually go when I need wood or stone cause it's a lot of time spent to clear out both. I also go to the mystery islands to transplant trees because I have chopped all of mine down to terraform.
It's great when you land on bamboo island for the beetles or the scorpions. Shark island is also a great find.
I rarely go anymore, but I had no idea they actually REMOVED islands?? That's crazy! But I haven't seen hybrid flower island since back in April, so it actually seems true.
i never go on the tours unless im looking for a new villager. theyre just all... so same-y and boring! when i first got the game i thought they were so fun but there's not enough variety and youre basically guaranteed to find only THREE fruits (native fruit, sister fruit, and coconuts) which especially bugs me bc i prefer to play animal crossing solely single player. also i never got hybrid island and am quite salty about it haha
I only ever go for villagers or if I'm looking to plant new trees. It's much easier to grab a full grown tree than to plant coconuts and stuff. Otherwise? I don't think it's worth it, especially considering how valuable NMT are for trading!
In the beginning of the game I went to the quite frequently, especially for materials and tarantula hunting. Now I almost never go unless I'm villager hunting. I really want to find the scorpion/gold island or fin island before they get removed from the game like so many of the other cool islands...
