well, you see, i've been working on setting down paths in my town and moving flowers and stuff, but my villagers just keep putting down ugly flowers that don't go with my "town theme" or whatever !!
is it because of my beautiful town ordinance? and can i stop them from planting flowers? thanks.

I don't think you can stop them from planting flowers but the beautiful town ordinance does increase the amount they put down.

Just shovel them away. It's really annoying, but that's what you get with the Beautiful Town ordinance. :p In the end it'll be easier to get all the flowers you need for decorating though, and once you've aligned all your paths etcetera they can't place the flowers there anymore so they don't mix in with your flower decorations anymore.

I remember Genji planting a white rose at the same time I set a black one, and it overrode mine! Thankfully I had extras, but still.

Now every square inch of my town is covered in flowers, trees/shrubs, and paths so they can't screw up my carefully planned set-up anymore.

yeah sadly you can't stop them, unless you fill up all the spaces and then theres no room left to plant anything. but you can just dig them up or pick em up and sell them. it's annoying, i have to do it too.

You could get a design that looks like your type of grass and place it on the ground.
