Is there any advantage to having Tom Nook's chair in the camp?

I decided to add Tom Nook's chair to my camp, does he do anything else but sleep all day? He will talk to my character if I direct it to, but other than that he just sleeps. Is there any advantage or purpose of having his chair in the camp?

I don't think so, I have K.K. Slider's favourite stool and he kinda just sits and plays the same 2 notes on his guitar over and over.

I don't think so either, I think you can just add him (and others) for the fun of it. I have Nook as well, and Leif, because he's adorable.

Absolutely none indeed.. I only got Leif because Leif's so cute, but I don't think I'd get anyone else as these extras are so expensive!

They’ve gotten better as time has gone on. Nook sleeping is kind of lame, but Isabelle showing a slideshow, Jack running a puppet show, and Jingle in a balloon are pretty neat. I only got Jack, though.
