so there?s this guy i work with and i have a crush on him. recently i?ve noticed he?s becoming more talkative to me and telling me random things as well. also after we talk according to my coworkers he walks away with the biggest smile on his face. So i wanted to ask if he wants to hang i don?t talk to this guy so much so i?m wondering if it?s a bit pushy or weird, is it?

I don’t think it’s pushy or weird. Got to start somewhere.

Also, is it just me or are these get together “does he like me/does he not like me” threads becoming more common in Brewster’s lately, lmao

Is this the same guy from the other thread? or a different guy. I really wouldn't advise looking for relationships in the workplace

I'd say do it, and if you're that worried about it (from what you've said you really shouldn't be hun) but try a really casual outing that could be interpreted as either a date or just a friendly outing. A fair, mini golf, market, go carts, bowling, something that is active enough so that you can both just have a fun chill day if it goes well then you can try to suggest like a cafe or restraunt to go to which is a little more one on one.

Sorry to be that downer, but if it were any other place, I'd say yes, but be casual with it. Because it's a work place, I advise against dating coworkers, esp if they work in the same department as you. Thinking ahead in the relationship, what if there was nasty break-up? Now you have to see and deal with that guy at work. Who says he can be a mature adult about it and do his work while ignoring the break-up? People change after break-ups; they may seem nice while dating, but afterward they can be salty and rude (true story).

Maybe continue talking to him, but keep in mind the place you both are at and how, if somethin goes wrong, will it effect your work?

While I'm all for pursuing someone you are interested in, I'd like to echo what others have said: beware of workplace relationships. If it works out, that's great...but if it doesn't, are you prepared to see this person every day? I've done the office romance in the past, and while it was fun for a while, once we broke up things became extremely awkward at work. Just be careful if you do take this path.

I’m not one to date coworkers cuz that can get messy, but I’m also a commitment phone so my advice is worth Jack.

play hard to get! but don't be snotty! just talk to him and if he really likes you, he will ask you out!

It's hard to see whether or not it's such a good or bad idea until it becomes one but you'll most likely regret if you don't. Go for it!

Go for it.

OP’s third thread I believe.

I think the issue is less that it could be pushy- if this were someone you knew in a different social setting, I think it would be fine- but it's just that I don't think dating people in the workplace is a good idea. I mean, if you pursued a relationship, dated for a few months, and then broke up, that could get REALLY awkward. Or if one of you gets a promotion and the other doesn't, that could also cause tension.

I think it highly depends on the working environment and the type of work. If it's a very casual/non-serious type of workplace and if either of you don't plan on staying there for long, go for it tbh. However, if it's a company you want to stay with for at least a year or so, I'd tread carefully as others have said. If the relationship went south, then gossiping is a large possibility and it could affect whether either of you get promoted later on.

Either way, good luck!
