It's me again, audio diary. Since I failed to update for months, I feel like I need to make this one too so I can catch up along with my one around a half hour ago.

Things really haven't been going as well as I hoped. The Council sent me an email minutes after my last recording stating that we need to send in our nature reports, which are essentially any kind of construction that takes place and requires tearing down of trees or bushes. I just finished the report but apparently I barely made it on time to send in it, just a few minutes later than that and it wouldn't have made it on time. When you don't send in reports fast enough, the Council will take notice and will punish you depending on how late. The time I would've been late would be just a few minutes, and the punishment would probably be paying a 50,000 Bell fine. But I've heard other towns had much worse punishments.

-sigh-

Digby isn't doing any better. He's really anxious and weird and I don't know why. Before he'd talk smack about the Council with me on breaks, but now he refuses to even mention them and gives me a glare if I do. I think the Council may have reached out and gotten to Digby, forcing him to hush others about the Council. The Council can do that very easily, and all of us know what will happen if the Council catches us doing it.

-scratching noise-

I'm just so mad that we have to live like this. I overheard Deirdre and Lopez talking about it: they think we should all join forces against the Council and overthrow them. Well, that's not going to work. Even those who don't know where the Council is know that they have extreme security among their base. Getting in there is near impossible, and overthrowing them is barely possible. They have the group of the strongest, most powerful animals in the land. But I pray that one day, we will be able to be free again, like we did 7 years ago.
