Theme:
Island 818 was created based on my long distance relationship with my boyfriend from Germany, Denis. We have been together for 4 years now and it took us 818 days to officially meet in person, or about 2 and a half years. Island 818's theme was originally based around romantic atmosphere of places or fun areas where I would like to relax with my boyfriend, nothing specific, just cute and romantic. Since COVID-19 pushed meeting for Spring Break back for us and Easter ,my Favorite holiday was Cancelled and with the blossoming of Bunny Day items, the Romantic Town theme developed into an Easter Pastel Romantic Paradise.

My Town is usually set in April 2020, so the trees are cherry blossoms with some egg trees scattered!

Day 1: Normal type of Stuff this is how I started out!

My first 3 villagers that Moved in were:
Skye, Erik, Bunnie

Most of the game play in the beginning for me was cycling villagers out and selling them for NMT to find more popular villagers to trade and sell. Many of this involved trading, Island Hopping and doing it over and over again helping others find who they wanted as I started to save NMT. The amiibos I used the most for natural trading were Merengue and Coco. I've constantly had popular villagers in and out of my town constantly swapping. Here is a picture of me and Freya before she moved away ^^

Eventually it came time that I wanted to adopt my favorite smug villager Kyle. Unfortunately who I bought from was unaware of the amiibo force out glitch at the beginning of release so two houses had become bugged in my town. No Kyle.

After trying to fix the glitch and finally someone moves into the plot that I then have to get them to move out, to my surprise, Audie. That one hurt. Getting a villager I want and having to make them move to fix the glitch sucked, but after 3 Island hops I got lucky and found her again legit. I was eventually able to get Kyle with no glitch!

Some Sacrifices Were Made:

When starting I had my normal list of villagers that I've had previously in New Leaf and some new one's I wanted to try out like, Ketchup and Poppy. I've wanted ketchup since before she came out in New Leaf and Pocket Camp, and I got her before I got Audie and I came to the realization, I can't stand 2 peppies at once. It's too much talking haha. Lobo was replaced with Dobie who I now call Grandpa and he is voted as the most wise on the Island. He reminds me of John Lock from Lost. Kid Cat has gone to my boyfriend Denis's town since he's Jock and his town is called St. Chad. (Chads Only). I loved Poppy But I found Ankha in the campsite and she was booted to move for a while when I had Ankha and Lucky as a duo pair that would later be sold together.​

Skye's House
Another thing I came to realize was that the first 3 Villagers that move in always have very dingy houses compared to those that later move in. I found this out because Skye got booted for a campsite villager, even though Skye is my favorite I would get her back instantly. After receiving Skye again her house was massively different, so I was a little worried maybe she was glitched due to all the new bugs in the game. To my surprise it was just so your first villagers can never 1+ you in decoration and decor. Kind of glad I made this choice because now her house is so much nicer / so are her clothes.

I Bought my Boyfriend a Switch so we could Play together!

Although we wish there was more to do multiplayer wise, we're trying to make our own fun during quarantine!​

I saved up all those earlier NMT, to buy Raymond. After giving up Island hopping for him I decided to give in and buy him and luckily I got him for 700 NMT instead of over 1,000. Still crazy but kind of worth it I guess :"0 that search is done with!

I Hate Marshal, But I wanted him, Here's why.

I personally have never understood the hype of Marshal what so ever. I always found him a little too annoying and marshmallow-ish for my taste also I prefer Kyle as my favorite smug villager. I never liked Marshal because I had him in my New Leaf town Briefly and every time I saw him he always pushed Kyle into the daily pitfalls or made Kyle walk around storming off angrily so I never really liked him for being mean to my favorite villager. This time around I wanted him because his cuteness is getting to me, but more importantly he can't leave unless I tell him to and I want to hit him with my net every day. Purgatory forever.

Either way I like / Hate him and he's staying, but getting him over the past day or so was a nightmare. Not only is he #1 above Raymond, but so many people are out here scamming you for him which I ran into 2x in a row.

The first person said amiibo force-out were finally safe to adopt and I've been seeing a few people saying that especially with how many updates and patches we've been having I figured I'd be cautious but give it a shot. I get to this person's town and we go to Marshal and he's in boxes BUT, HES CRAFTING WITH NO TABLE? He is clearly glitching out and the person tells me "yeah he was doing that before you got here." Clearly blows my mind that you want to lie about your villager being glitched and you're going to sell it off. Uhm ok. Get my stuff back , don't adopt go home.

Second attempt to buy Marshal, place the tickets before even going to his house. Instant Kick from town.
Okay. Close software before it saves. Gotta love trying to scam people. Good think the loading screens are long


Third Try finally adopt Marshal from @Heartcore here on belltree who actually has a good feedback rating. Love adopting from people on Belltree, very trust worthy. ~! So now my search for this bugger is complete.

I also noticed that the bugged Marshal was probably due to the bugged plot glitch, because he had a dark exterior house , like Lucky's house, instead of his white exterior.
