Island help!

I like this too, mixing what already has meaning to me and making it my own at the same time it's so cute, I love these ideas. Building on the last idea, maybe Delphi Sea?

You?re right, those experiences can definitely give meaning. I hope I didn?t come across dismissive about it, because that wasn?t what I meant. I just think that a new, invented name isn?t necessarily shallow in comparison, if that makes sense.

I always name my towns and so on, after something meaningful. I find it makes loading into the game that little bit extra magical. I was thinking of naming my Island after my new leaf town, Solace.

I understand! What you said really stuck with me though and I think I finally decided on a name, which actually wasn't any of what I listed here, but it does go with the cutesy name category. I really wanted Delphi Cove or Noki Bay but.. I wanted something that would end up my next Roseton. Atlantis and Hoenn were side towns so I don't know if that's why they never felt the way Roseton did, but I was worried about it happening if I named it after something I knew or saw. So instead of thinking really hard about it or going with something I'd seen, I thought and whatever was cute that I first thought of, I used. Which ended up being Seastar Island.

I'd personally go for a 'cutesy' name over something else that already has a meaning assigned to it. Then you can make that word be associated with your own unique island memories. <3

In total agreement! You build your island from the ground up, so why not your islands memories too?

It?s really up to you but I personally prefer names that mean something. I feel like it gives you more of an Emotional attachment to the town.

The situation you describe with the previous side town names is more or less what I was talking about. There's just something about having the name stand for itself that can really add to making the town your own!

P.S. Seastar has a beautiful ring to it—just goes to show that sometimes it takes a spontaneous approach to find the perfect fit :3

So for the longest time I wanted to go with the name Delfino because Isle Delfino or Noki Bay ( yes, Super Mario Sunshine ), but recently I've been thinking of going with more of a cute name like the suggested Seafoam or Seaspell (which were suggested by sierra here) and I'm stuck on what to do: go with what I originally planned and something that means something to me, or to go with something that's cute and that's something I simply just like because it's cute?

I know there have been a lot of idea threads and such but I was wondering what specifically to do for my island because I seriously can't make up my mind and I wanted to know what all of you think

Also if you have a specific one of the four you like best, please let me know <3

why dont you take some names you like, and add a personal twist to them! Maybe list somethings that you really like or find personal!
